I used to work for robinsons and mall management. That place was packed with people. Most concerts and events were held there, new businesses were popping and its usually crowded. Now its sad to see how its barely operating and looking at how deserted it is, the remaining businesses might not last long..this is giving me chills. I was shocked to see camera haus closed down. I bought my fujifilm camera there last december 2020. Thanks for showing this. Will give this place a visit.

With the strong mall culture we have in Bacolod and once this Pandemic is over this malls will bounce back.

I don't think it will bounce back. Get used to online shopping. It will be the new norm. Malls will be like dinosaur. Everything will be done through your phone. Phone apps like lazada, Shopee, Grab, gcash, Paymaya just to name a few.

It's sad has been going on a long time, i don't know how much longer people can survive the hardships with no job or income. Some countries are better off because businesses and people get gov't support. I pray all these suffering will end soon and we can go back to normal life again.😥👏💟

This is sad. I miss the pre-pandemic mall crowd and the old stores. Camerahaus I think was already struggling to stay afloat, and I see Hong Kong Kitchen closed a section of their restaurant. Not many people will go to malls that have less stuff to offer and to avoid other people during the pandemic. This pandemic undid about 25 years of Robinson's Galleria's business.

Bacolod city is known for its many delicacies, particularly the pinangat, bong bongs piaya, and many in-house products of Bacolod. The pandemic took its toll to Bacolod, but for a province/city that knows preservation of GDP, its natural resources, it won't be affected by any inflation, as suppliers of food can always produce the products, given that the raw materials are always at hand or near Bacolod city as well. Its good to be optimistic always, and look outside cash, as GDP is to be preserved, the way some of the locals preserved their methods, approaches to businesses handling and management. SME General Practices, practitioners all fields of studies are efficient and orderly always.

Philippines gdp fell -4.2% this year's first quarter, food and housing prices are still increasing, as other Asian markets are opening, the Philippines is losing ground..
I don't know how much longer the people of the Philippines can take all the lockdowns, tourism accounts for about 13% of the gdp and OFW's for about 9%..
With a lot of them having to return to the Philippines and with restrictions keeping them from traveling abroad, I think they're in for another bad quarter.

@@berettagunowner Good day Berettagunowner, the Philippines is still doing strong amidst the pandemic, the figures that was presented is quite near those points, yet as said, GDP growth is always to be preserved, the traditional methods for food and industries production, in Bacolod as an example, they still manufacture these types of delicacies and stuff without doing a lot of crunch to buyers or consumers, as for housing prices and food, the housing prices don't increase drastically, since it is not an uptrend increasing house prices, since property prices also adjusts from GDP, there are also inventories that are not yet accounted, from lasts years, 2016, to date, for housing markets alone, that remains to be improved or recomputed in order to make it affordable, while materials for housing also has improved, since it is simplified these days, some of them are built in to be earthquake proof, as well as flood proof derived materials from recyclable ones that have these many features:earthquake, debris, termite, flood proof features while staying affordable, since the materials are a combination of recyclable and industrial ones as well, and its already readily made, similar to shipping containers in diff.size where the prices also does not jump or spike due to the supply of scrap metals. Never lose the grip to be strong and optimistic, after all, malunggay plants, lemon trees, calamansi, guyabanos, and many spinach and water crests and tofu-the best meat alternative that is continuous always serves and completes the daily nutritional intake or derivatives. To look forward for brighter days ahead as they are always Sir.Berettagunowner. As for OFW, there are a lot of employment opportunities that are readily made or provided for them that OWWA offers as well as the LGU sectors from 15 regions of the whole archipelago. The Filipino workers and employees are well versed with the ins and outs of life, that is why, businesses thrive and always are upbeat for all of them. Food prices in the Philippines are stable and always consistent, one just have to relate and ask for the weigh balances as they are always prepared to give assistance. More blessings ahead for you and your loveones.
