Galaxy A54 vs Galaxy S23 Ultra Speed Test - With the lines between mid-range and flagship becoming blurrier in 2023, in this video we take a look at Samsung's mid-range A54 vs Samsung's High-End Galaxy S23 Ultra!
Great video! I'm very happy wit my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra, everything I do on it is so fast and the animatiins are buttery Smooth and I don't notice any lag or stutters and I'm on the latest June update.
There's absolutely no reason to get this phone when you can get an S23, S22 or even an S21 Ultra for about the same price, not to mention the competition like the Pixel
In Canada I can buy the latest Samsungs from Costco with a 24 month plan for less than the latest iPhone (S23 for about $20/month vs iPhone 14 for about $35/month), but as soon as I go to the previous year, I can get an iPhone 13 for $0.99 flat, and I can't even find the S22 series of phones. I wouldn't even consider the other options at that rate.
Sadly I had to upgrade from the s23+ to the 23U but I'm happy but only reason I did was because Samsung didn't care that my camera was trash and I never had a camera issue on all my iphones and if I did apple would have helped me without having to buy another phone and I don't have money like that but now I have a great camera and love the size
Still wondering why samsung made the red color on the s22/s23 ultra the way the did. Yeah, looks nice and red in some CAMERA angles, but absolutely coral in real life. I've got one, and although it's kind of cool, a real red or even orange would be better
Idk why but mine is so smooth comparing it to the video , i supose u r using the 6gb of ram version , mine is 8 and it's super smooth comparing it to s23
sorry I do not not message creators directly anything talk openly and if you are dissatisfied with my comments then by all block me I don't mind ( I just stating a very honest opinion)
Exactly! I doubt they give a hoot about their A-series. I can use a Google A-series and get a relatively solid to great performance while for me getting a Sammy A-series is like deliberately self sabotaging. I'd either get their flagship or look elsewhere. I'd pick a 7A even 6A over any Samsung A-series without a 2nd thought. The only exception is the FE which of course isn't part of the A-line.
Who cares about Antutu? Are you buying a phone for the experience or the unused high antutu score? For example iPhone has better processor, which can't be used As Apple doesn't allow you to push it to the max. It's like having a very strong computer which allows you to surf social media only.
What times do we live in, that their latest phone would work like a phone from the time of the first iPhone release... Even if the benchmark results don't matter much in real use, it's just ridiculous. You could see such a result on a phone that had a physical keyboard instead of a screen. It's a joke, A series from Samsung should be closed. Looking at the price, I take the iPhone SE 3 or even used 11 without thinking. To be honest even iPhone 7 still works better than every A series from Samsung... This shouldn't be allowed in a tech market.
I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 back in 2013 when it just released. Used it for a couple of years and it was a horrible experience. Don't get me wrong the first year it was ok but then lags and stutters appeared and it made the phone really hard to use. It was driving me crazy every time I used it and after some time I finally decided to get a new phone which happened to be an Iphone 7 (my first iphone) and I used it for 4 years with no problems whatsoever(no lags, no stutters) and I managed to sell it in a day when got myself a new one. Ever since I'm an iphone user and I'm never going back to Samsung. As I can see Samsung hasn't changed. Maybe their flagships are not that laggy anymore but the other models are and that's why they'll keep loosing clients to Apple.
I'm hoping that isn't the case anymore because I've used iPhones for about a six years now and just switched over to an s23 ultra two months ago. I know my last android had the same problems (LG V40 ThinQ). It was fast and then it got laggy over time. iPhones are always smooth. Maybe I'll come back to this comment in a year and let you know lol

Man this shows that from becoming a laggy flagship samsung became the best smartphone in the market

Definitely recommend Samsung for premium style they have
June patch is much better on galaxy A lineup , my a71 is much snappy than before and looks a fresh start again for a year more

The pixel phones have massive bezels. They look like something from 2015. Their top flagship has bezels like the S8 bezels did.
Agreed, Samsung should optimize their midrange phones a lot
Pixel is on the sidelines right now on IR lol
Better get a one plus like the 11r, affordable yet great performer.
The pixel uses a 3 yr old chip so who wants that ?

Applaudable content. For sure👍😊

What was the issue with your camera?
Great content. As for the A phone, go into developer mode and turn off animations. If you want fast then do that.
That doesn't stop some of the lags and stutters just speeds up animations.
@nickackermanchannel maybe it's the phones. Never happened to me, but then again, I've only had flagship phones. Like my s23 ultra in phantom black.
@@nickackermanchannelfor me it considerably stopped lags and stutters in the old phones, because the animations eat up processing power
I have a54 there is no lag but you always hate this phone 😡😡😡@@nickackermanchannel

Samsung definitely needs to put a better chipset in the A50 series.
the snapdragon 7+ gen 2 would have been perfect
@@AA-gh5zv I agree.
Chipset just isn't optimized yet. Same with all Exynos at intro.
@@AA-gh5zvtrue it would have been a fire option then
with a less boring design as well
Very nice video as expected from you! Keep it up :)
Thank you so much!
I know this is kinda out of topic, but I never knew the S23 Ultra had an orane version! nice. tnx for this video btw
Idk why but mine is so smooth comparing it to the video , i supose u r using the 6gb of ram version , mine is 8 and it's super smooth comparing it to s23
I have the 8gb version also and I have no lag at all
The A series drops very fast in price. I got mine today for only 250€, the pixel 7a cost around 400€. abslolutly no brainer for me for the price…
Congrats !
Nice comparison. Really shows the difference
It’s sad that Apple has an iPhone SE that performs exactly the same as the newest iPhone, but Samsung’s midranger lags when opening the weather app 💀
Look at the se price?😅😅
@@rlbvlogs75I’d pay a bit more for a phone that’ll work in a year than some lag filled phone
@@rlbvlogs75 in Europe the difference is less than 50 euros
😭😭
If apple ever puts a bigger screen, and battery on the SE, I'm buying it
i had the S23 and now have the a54...and i am extending happy!
is it 8gb ram version?
The S23 is better. I rather pay more for better performance and more stability than settle for mediocrity 🚮
Or you can Buy S23+ for better performance, better camera, better screen and reliability, while having better battery Live than S23 Ultra
They should make an a series "Note" in a 6.7 form factor
Great video Nick 👍🏻
Thanks so much glad you liked it!
Hi, can you add galaxy a34 to your Comparisons؟
It's ridiculous to compare these 2 phones together coz it like compare a formula 1 racing car to a toyota family sedan
sorry I do not not message creators directly anything talk openly and if you are dissatisfied with my comments then by all block me I don't mind ( I just stating a very honest opinion)
Pls make a video on Moto edge 40 ❤
I have a 54 8 gig ram. It doesnt lag.
I haven't tried that one
I have taht too and its so soft
First comment, love from India 🇮🇳!!
sorry bro
ur not the kid i replied to was
U definatly need the 8 gb version it's totally different
You mean 8gb ram ?

At Samsung it works like this, you either buy their best, or nothing! Stay away from series A

Actually, what iphone costs at a54's price?
iphone 11
June update add a bit more smoothness and battery is the same for me. Some of the animations like the fingerprint unlocking one are fixed.
Thanks for sharing your update, I will look into it
Should have installed that update. Not worth watching this video without it.
Can u pls consider adding antutu bench in your next speedtests.ty
I was going to it didn't pop up on the play store

i admit the pixel 6a is better than the latest a series
Pixels are faster and smoother

But overheating issues, battery drain, slow charging, washed out colors and finger print scanner ruins the experience.

Much faster half a second 😂
Samsung is lagging cause its animations
It's getting better every year! Oneui is 👌

I have to agree very unacceptable in 2023

Not gonna lie I expected it to be worse lol
Who cares about geek bench score and other tests ?
It's all about the daily usage.
That's why I put Geekbench at the very end of the video

so Cool this video
Try a54 now with one ui 6.1 i'ts smoother now
Watching it on my iPhone 7
I hate exynos chipset it's a mother board killer, easily gets hot....
This is mostly storage and optimization issue.
Compare s23+ with moto edge + 2023
