- She's got one of the biggest voices in pop! Over the past 25 years, music superstar Anastacia has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. And much to her fans' delight, she's back with a brand-new album. ‘Our Songs’ features 12 English-language interpretations of German top hits from 1980-2020 - including her brand-new single ‘Now Or Never’. She joins us in the studio to tell us how the album came about, and why her impressive voice once got her fired.

Our Songs, amazing album!
Well, in case anyone cares why she thought Fahrt was exit, that’s because she has probably seen the sign „Ausfahrt“ on the German Autobahn and there it refers to the exit (ramp). The direct translation would be „out-drive“.
And yes, a Stinkstiefel would literally be a smelly boot, but it’s actually a grumpy old man.
"Fahrt" is actually a conjugation of the word "fahren", which would translate to English as "driving".
"Er fahrt" = "He drives". Had they used the noun, I'm sure she would've gotten it right! I mean, she's got more experience speaking German than any of the crew at This Morning.
