These types of videos where you speak clearly, concisely in a measured manner are great. I much prefer these to other videos where people get lambasted for not knowing a definition of digital transformation or other semantics.
Hi Walker good video , seems that uns is excellent for analytics (very similar as data mesh concept in it )but my concern is about transactional data, is there any video talking about you control critical transactions between systems like recipe download from erp or consumption fron edge. How do you ensure that system in which you are integrating through uns have received the information? Should i implement a semantic topic for handshake bits ? I appreciate any recomnendation
A lot of what he teaches can be applied to other industries as well. Consumer the meat and spit out the bones. When you think about this systematically it makes sense. Great work , new subscriber here !
It *can* be anything - whatever you want. I think typically it would be advisable to not use sparkplug B for the higher level functions like MES or ERP, if only because standard/flat mqtt is easier to digest straight away - decoding SpB requires a bit more work and often it is not supported natively in clients. For the second part of your question - yes, they *can* be (and often are!) the same MQTT broker - but that is not a requirement of UNS, just the technology itself.
Would "function" be the same as "node" in this video?
Or they're very different, just related?
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback!! Would the other videos being ones that we create? or just ones that you see?

Walker please can you do a video on how to move from industry 3.0 to 4.0 in gold processing plant

A topic for confirmation is a common approach. There are multiple ways people tackle this. We will do a separate video on this topic. Stay tuned!
Because all your videos are limited to manufacturing plant
Our mission is to save and create middle class jobs by helping ‘manufacturers’ leverage technology to do more with less.
We serve manufacturers.

Hi Walker, so is MQTT SparkplugB used for PLCs and SCADA but just standard MQTT for MES, ERP and Cloud? But all pointing to a common MQTT broker?

Member688 nailed it. We will have a very special video coming out next month on this subject. I’ll announce more about it in a couple weeks.
Thanks both!
@@walkerreynolds973Ohh wow, a special video on how I nail things! Nice! 🤣
