We are from Illinois and we really admire you becoming a Pilipino Citizen. Thank you for showing us Mindanao. I hope someday we can visit your Area. I love that you speak Visaya, Love, love, love it. Please keep up the good work, I am so, so proud of your crew.
That's the first time I've seen chicken blood being used, but lovin the zero waste. Bisaya manok is really good. I'm lovin the local food. I want some!
I wish to live like that. Lots of barkadas. Lots of cooking and eating. I grew up in Libjo fiesta everyday 24/7 in my house. Our doors never closed. I miss those days. I miss all the people.
If you're going to name your chickens, it's best to give them names like adobo, prito, sabaw,, etc. in case you have to eat them later. You won't feel so bad then. 🐔🐓🍗
I remember when I was a kid, we had a pig we named Babe (because of that movie which was a hit around the 90s). We also had a dog named Joyce and the two were playmates. We also play with Babe and she acted like she was also a dog. Lol On my birthday, anuary 20, she was abot to be slaughtered and roasted for the celebration. We walked her like a dog on a leash on the way to my uncle's house (my uncle was a butcher) andshe was really excited to be walked around..unaware that it would be her last. The night of my birthday came and none in the family ate the lechon. Of course because she was dear to us.
regular people who cannot answer general questions would say, "i was absent from school when they taught that." but Manong is a regular guy who was always absent but remembers the lessons when he was present lol. He's a true legend!
JANDEE COOK THE CHICKEN LIKE TINOLA LESS THE PA2YA/SAYOTE.. BUT PUT LEMONGRASS WHILE BOILING IT,,THE SOUP IS VERY AWESOME,WE CALL IT SA'LE MANOK HERE IN TARLAC & PAMPANGA.
Thank you for sharing your amazing life in Cateel #BecomingFilipino🙂🙏 A very typical suburban life but full of happiness & simplicity 😍 Thank you for sharing 💕
Good words Kyle. I believe it’s important to understand where food comes from. When were home in Mindanao I do not hide this from the kids. They need to know meat doesn’t just come in cellophane wrap from the supermarket, but from elsewhere 1st.
If jandee haven’t tried using torch to remove feathers from the chickens,it is much easier than to boil and dip them in the water, itis tastier upon cooking, the smokiness flavor comes out well
Superstistion that was a very long time ago , from the old folks, nowadays its a coincedence or accident, but anyway its nice you are really a becoming pilipino, and watching you , you really enjoy your life there, here its getting cold because, its already ber ber, , time to hybernate again, i want to go home , but there is still problem in the airport, the line and the waithing, its almost 6 hrs. Wasting time, good luck kyle. Enjoy life while still young. Take care.
Kalabo is a kind of mint with many foreign names like Mexican Mint, Spanish Thyme, wild Marjoram, etc. Crush the leaves and inhale it if you have a stuffy nose, make a tea to cure a cough. OT: The snakes and the monitor lizard are attracted to eggs and young chickens. Make some chicken coop house fortifications.
In educating a child it is important that he finds meaning in the lessons and can pretty relate to it! That's what happened to Manong! #efucationalprinciples
Wow! Kumar have the fresh saging saba..Do you know that ubad ng saging saba (the inner stalk) is so yummy to cook with native chicken..if you guys know how to chop and extract the fiber of ubad.
You can easily grow kalabo (oregano) just cut a part and plant it directly in soil. . . U can also use kalabo for cough. . . Welcome back to Mindanao Kulas!
