I don't think so. It is good to give a farewell to Ash as the company is trying to get newer audience which are probably small children to serve them for the next 25 years. Apart from your reason, Ash have become a Pokemon Champion, that means he completed his dream, therefore there is no reason to put him. Plus if they put him there is a high chance for the pokemon company to lose the hype of Ash because of same gym battles, league, lose and then repeat. Introducing new protagonist along side new features is the perfect idea. And Ash as a Pokemon Champion can be shown to us sometimes. Therfore new audiences will not have to watch all ash's journey, old audiences will also be happy and the newer audiences who wants to know about Ash can watch his journey.
