How Invasive species affect beer

  • Two of my favorite things are the natural world and craft beer. Invasive ecology education is my passion and invasive species have a major impact on the craft beer world and most people don’t know about it.
    Invasive species like European Starlings, House sparrows, Kudzu and feral hogs can have a huge impact on some of our favorite drinks.
    As I discuss this issue in the brewery industry I enjoy a Gose sour from Rapp’s Barren Brewery from Mountain Home Arkansas. Be sure to visit them if you are ever around Norfork lake or Bull Shoals.
