    25 Melodic and Progressive Etudes, Op.60 by Matteo Carcassi (1796-1853) for Classical Guitar. PDF sheet music for Classical Guitar. Comes with both a notation edition with left hand fingering and a separate tab edition in the same pdf. Intermediate to Early-Advanced (Grade 5-9). This is a PDF download. 142 Pages.
    The twenty-five etudes in Op.60 by Matteo Carcassi (1796-1853) are one of the most important pedagogical collections for classical guitar. The etudes are both enjoyable for their musical content and pedagogically beneficial for their very clear technical objectives. Compared to other etude collections, both period and modern, Op.60 excels in its tightly focused compositional adherence to didactic goals. For this reason the etudes are excellent studies for students to test their skills in a controlled musical setting and a right of passage from the intermediate to upper playing level.

    What a great coincidence, I was just practicing this an hour ago! I'd gotten this in an etude book you put out a number of years ago. I'm much better at it now, but the voices are definitely not distinct, as yours are. I'm so excited to have this video to work with. Your beautiful rendition is very motivating.

      Thanks, this one is so simple and so complicated to teach at the same time. There is something tricky about classical era music that is in such a straight forward two voice texture. This is the 3rd time I've recorded a video of it and I still am not sure what the next time will sound like!

    Counterpoint oriented pieces such as this one are a kind of music that I like very much. At first they seem easy, but playing it clearly on the guitar can be tricky and may take some time.

    Maybe try adding base at the start of each bar? Imho base somehow gives this music warmer vibes. Less scary, less isolated.

    "IV minor" ending is quite rare for Carcacci, correct?

      Ya, it's a funny one. I don't know what inspired it but it's surprisingly welcome.

    Hello, I'm searching tabs for guitars duo, can you help me?

    • @Thisisclassicalguitar
      @Thisisclassicalguitar  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, I don't have any duets in tab and I don't really know an collection off the top of my head. I'm sure if you search on sheet music plus or amazon you'll find something (quality at your own risk). Tab duets take up a ton of score space so they are more rare than solos.
