3. Surah Ale-Imran (The Family of Imran)
In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
2. Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.
3. It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur'an) to you (Muhammad ) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).
4. Aforetime, as a guidance to mankind, And He sent down the criterion [of judgement between right and wrong (this Qur'an)]. Truly, those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.
5. Truly, nothing is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heavens.
6. He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
7. It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur'an). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments, etc.), Al-Fara'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabari).
8. (They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower."
9. Our Lord! Verily, it is You Who will gather mankind together on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah never breaks His Promise".
10. Verily, those who disbelieve, neither their properties nor their offspring will avail them whatsoever against Allah; and it is they who will be fuel of the Fire.
11. Like the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and those before them; they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), so Allah seized (destroyed) them for their sins. And Allah is Severe in punishment.
12. Say (O Muhammad ) to those who disbelieve: "You will be defeated and gathered together to Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest."
13. There has already been a sign for you (O Jews) in the two armies that met (in combat i.e. the battle of Badr): One was fighting in the Cause of Allah, and as for the other (they) were disbelievers. They (the believers) saw them (the disbelievers) with their own eyes twice their number (although they were thrice their number). And Allah supports with His Victory whom He pleases. Verily, in this is a lesson for those who understand. (See Verse 8:44). (Tafsir At-Tabari)
14. Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allah has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers, etc.) with Him.
15. Say: "Shall I inform you of things far better than those? For Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2) there are Gardens (Paradise) with their Lord, underneath which rivers flow. Therein (is their) eternal (home) and Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives) [i.e. they will have no menses, urine, or stool, etc.], And Allah will be pleased with them. And Allah is All-Seer of the (His) slaves".
16. Those who say: "Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire."
17. (They are) those who are patient ones, those who are true (in Faith, words, and deeds), and obedient with sincere devotion in worship to Allah. Those who spend [give the Zakat and alms in the Way of Allah] and those who pray and beg Allah's Pardon in the last hours of the night.
18. Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
19. Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account.
20. So if they dispute with you (Muhammad ) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His ) slaves.

I pray everyday we christians set aside denominational differences (protestant, catholic, orthodox) since christ is the head of the church and we are the body. We must unite as a whole as the body so that He may be fully glorified by us.

It says the salvation plan is also for them, but it depends on whether they take that gift or not

Besides, there are many cases that many muslims have never been introduced to Christ. For those people, Vatican hopes that they will be saved by the mercy of God. It is not a doctrine

@@CoolioMoDee Do you notice that that CCC841 makes no mention of Allah, or the Muslim conception of god? CCC 841 is worded in a way that challenges Muslims to examine who the God of Abraham is. Since the Quran doesn't explain who the God of Abhraham is; no mention of the covenant with him, nothing about Sarah. It forces the honest Muslim to examine the Bible to find the God of Abraham, which undoubtedly leads to the Triune God if a person honestly reads the Bible.

Was born and raised in a Roman Catholic background, was an alter boy. I started living for the world, and when I got back , I was going to a Catholic church but I didn’t feel the presence of God, started looking at Christian churches and found a Baptist church, same thing my spirit was still hungry and searching for the right place and glory to God He brought me to a Biblical, book of Acts church(Pentecostal) where my Faith and relationship with God is getting deeper and higher, praise be to God. May everyone find the right place for them as long as it is believing in Jesus as God, The Trinity, Jesus died for our sins and He is the Son of God! If you’re from Sydney and looking for a church “Awesome Church” is the place, there is a revival happening in this church, the Spirit of God is moving in the place, and you will see the fruits of the Holy Spirit as an evidence of this church being on fire for God! I love how you roll in your lane. I’m learning so, so much. I’ve been a Christian since I was 16 and my conversion was a decisive moment in time. I'm not surprised by the comments, since I think they draw *slightly* different audiences. The first street debate I saw avery do blew me away because his attitude and demeanor was one that built bridges with the people he spoke to, yet held firm in his own beliefs. The way we speak to each other in today's world is riddled with mockery, derision, etc. And while some ideas are laughable, when we go to spread the Gospel, the way we choose to engage with laughable ideas has certain effects.
While I do commend Sam on being willing to call out bs with a more direct manner, and even enjoy some of the poking fun he does, I don't tend to watch a lot of his content because he does veer into a more combative approach fairly often and it tires me out 😅
And during debates that include Sam, I do feel like he has jumped the gun before calling someone disingenuous, etc. And sometimes it drives the interaction in a certain direction that ultimately feels.... unproductive.
And sometimes this atmosphere seems to rub off on Avery a bit too? There was one live with Avery and several other Christian apologists who debate Muslims, and while I agreed with the info they were conveying, there was an undertone of mockery at times that went beyond the loving teasing I've seen him do when pointing out logical fallacies and misinformation.
I've been noticing this for a bit, and while I kinda shrugged it off, I've seen more people commenting on the same thing. So maybe I'm being overly sensitive, or maybe I'm feeling a nudge from the Holy Spirit. Idk. I just hope they continue to pray for the Spirits guidance when sharing the gospel

I grew up going to both the Catholic and Pentecostal church. I've been going to Pentecostal churches my whole adult life which i guess conflicts with Sam's beliefs it seems.

I grew up Anglican and was baptized as an infant but I decided to get re-baptized in my adulthood in 2021 with the knowledge of the saving power of Jesus. I believe salvation is a personal race that needs to be decided with full knowledge but as long as you're baptized is all that matters!🙏🏾

Water baptism is not necessary for salvation, it’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit that saves us. Water baptism is a symbol of the real baptism.

Jesus is the one that saves, not water baptism. I know plenty of people who got water baptized and all they did was become wet sinners. That's not to say water baptism isn't important or that you shouldn't do it, but rather you must be baptized with the Holy Spirit/born again which will lead you to get water baptized.. I know plenty of people who recieved the Holy Spirit before they were water baptized and got water baptized afterwards...

I just wanna clarify my point that I was actually trying to make HR(Hebrew Roots) / Torah observant Christians do belive in keeping Torah however they don't believe that you should be circumsised or do animal sacrafices (mainly because there's no temple and priest for it) but they do believe that kosher food laws still apply, sabbath still applies as well as they don't believe in celebrating Easter and Christmas, my whole point I was trying to make was on how refute those claims bearing in mind that they reject most scriptures that refute their claims on what I mentioned
And the renewed claim I brought up was merely to get to my main point, because the word renewed the way they use it is that it's building on from the old as in its not brand new but it's still the same covernant just different idk it makes sense now but that's why I started with that first because it leads to multiple questions afterwards

But this makes sense. However, if they reject the scriptures refuting their claims then there's no refutation to make because they bible clearly shows that we are in a new covenant and don't have to obey the law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled the law. Dietary requirements don't need to be followed because the bible shows that what comes out of your mouth is what defiles you, not what you eat - Matthew 15:17-18.
If they want to reject scripture that's on them.

Yes, cirmcusuon is not longer mandatory as we have baptism, but it is going to cause someone to fall ( for ex. in Jewish people) the apostles were ok for someone to do it. Check what happened to Timothy un the Bible.
I am not Jewish, but in my tradition boys are cirmcusided just for the culture.

@@t.d6379 The Apocrypha was never sited in the New Testament as scripture. Nor was it part of Jewish cannon in the 2nd Temple period. I believe it is mentioned in Talmud/Oral Torah but no Christians holds to that (and don’t quote me on that lol.) We see it as Historical only like the Book of Enoch. We also know in the scripture YHWH did not speak to the prophets in the days it was written, so it can’t be inspired. I’m sure Avery does Communion at his church. Would love to know your thoughts (not to argue) but to test the spirit. (Ps my Family is Catholic but can never give me real answers they don’t read lol)

The trinity is simple really. God is not fragmented as people perceive Him to be. He is one manifested as three. It’s just like water. Water can be manifested as solid( ice), liquid (water)and gas ( steam)… but at the end of the day, it is still water.
Water is a bad analogy for the trinity. That is modalism.

The will* of the flesh is to procreate and have fun, but the will of the Father is perfect obedience to the Father; this is in John 8:29. 'The Father has not left me because I always do what pleases him'. In this specific case, what will please the father? Simple: prophecy must come true, even the death on the cross. Sorry, Jesus, it cannot be changed; hence, he was brought into perfect obedience to the Father, his will being subject to the will of the Father.
Speaking in tongues, how come no one speaks in modern tongues, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Aramaic etc… in the Acts of the Apostles the people that spoke in tongues spoke in languages that other people understood.

The fruit of the spirit. Love kindness joy peace humbleness. If these fruits are not found can you be walking in the spirit of Christ as we are commanded.
I've seen the Holy Spirit use both of these brothers to bring new souls to Christ as they are. One while being patient and the other while using a sharp tongue. Let's not try to condemn or change people that's bold enough to deal with nasty people on the daily for the kingdom of God, when most are not willing. Let's trust that God is in control and that he continues to use them in his kingdom.

The Bible speaks of saints in heaven. Catholics do NOT pray to the heavenly saints. They only ask those saints to pray for them. much as you might ask your friends and family to pray for you.
