Just an added note to water gathering...I have seen on other tutorial vids that one can gather snow from the ground in a bottle or flask. That snow becomes dirty water. Simply boil that water over the fire and it becomes safely drinkable... Thankyou for your efforts.
If you get caught in a blizzard, make sure tou have 2 stacks of 25 mushrooms on you during winter. They hardly take up any space. As soon as the blizzard starts there is usually no time to make a fire so hunker down and eat a mushroom every 5-10 seconds or so, keeping your health bar at about the same level. I survived several snow storms that way. Nice video, thanks!
At last it’s spring. Whoop. I was down to my last few pieces of meat. Plenty of veg growing inside. I’ll be sure to gather more fish for next time. I was annoyed you got no water in your barrels during snow storms. As that would surely melt and turn to water but it didn’t I’d just got my snow outfit made the day before. So that was lucky, it was great to see the animals arrive again. Very tasty 👅 loving the game I’ve only been playing for 2 weeks. It has been fun. Sadly I had to kill bambi in the end just for meat. Bless but that kept me going. Tinned things helped a lot. I haven’t yet got my fridge. My crops died when my indoor heating ran out of coal too. I could of cried. Mushrooms don’t grow in the mines during winter too. I enjoyed winter but I’m glad it’s finally spring again.
There should be mushrooms in the caves during winter, I just picked a lot in December and January. Make sure you have warm clothes and you can even hunt crocs during winter, that's how I got my meat. I took the cart and pressed N to move the butcher table taking the table all the way to the swamp. That way I could shoot the crocs with the bow and slaughter them on the spot.
