Dan is a classically-trained singer whose stylistic range is as wide as his vocal range, which is awesome. A great metal upgrade, IMO, is what he does with Adele’s Rolling in the Deep. He also does folk (Loch Lomond); Disney (I’ll Make a Man out of You), ballads (The Last Goodbye), Christmas, opera, and tons of rock and metal. Try Nessun Dorma if you’re an opera fan, any of the Witcher covers, especially Burn Butcher Burn, if you’re a fan of that series, or The Music of the Night or Gethsemane for musical theater scenes. Dan usually does covers of songs that he enjoys, so giving Poker Face a bit of a metal vibe is just him (and Victor) "doing Dan things" and improving upon a song that he most likely does enjoy.

@@NYDogLady Hadn't occurred to me but you are right. Can't wait either! Off the top of my head, wondering what he would do with Johnny Cash's Man in Black (if not blocked due to copyright issues). I can already imagine Dan growling through some of those intense and profound lyrics. Maybe songs that are fun instead of serious would be preferred, but I hope he will consider something country.

Dan metalizes a lotta songs and puts new life into them. Sometimes, songs that were maybe "meh" songs before. One of those is "Heaven is a place on Earth", Belinda Carlisle's song. Also Rick Astley's "Never gona give you Up". Actually, alotta Dan's covers are better than the originals, not just my opinion😉He is extremely versatile and sings from all genres, Metal to Opera and everything in between.He also does songs from the "Witcher" series/games.

Dan is absolutely one of the best singers I've ever heard. He has a very wide range. He gives all his songs his own touch. That is unique.
He lives with and for his music, absolutely and can do everything, from opera (Nessun Dorma - Giacomo Puccini`s Turandot), rock, musical to metal and much more. One of his best songs is Bohemian Rapsody, a Queen cover version💥 (it was very difficult to do, he said in the outro). Check it out. The Gethsemane cover (Jesus Christ Superstar) is also a masterpiece. Please check it out too. I subscribed to the channel to maybe hear more from Dan and support him in his dream of a million subscrbers (he has worked so hard) and of course because of the great reaction for Dan,.Thank you very much .❤

A whole different vibe to this song. Both of these gents are at the top of their game. I never liked metal music, it was inaccessible to me. As you say you can hear the lyrics when Dan sings. Dan and Victor make the music varied and powerful, making it a treat to listen to. This is how metal should be. Not just a wall of impenetrable sound.
That was very well put.
I have a hearing issue with lyrics. A lot of the time I need to see them written to hear them from the accompaniment. It's the same reason I don't hear well in a crowded place. The background noise fuzzes out the dialogue.

Nice reaction! Dan Vasc has the most versatile, powerful, beautiful voice on the planet. He's absolutely phenomenal! Check out his version of "Amazing Grace" and his duet with Violet Orlandi on Seal's "Kiss From a Rose." I hope you've both subbed to Dan's channel and will explore all the genres he sings. Dan always gives respect to the original songs that he covers, and mostly stays as true to them as he can, while he definitely ramps them up.

Dan and Victor really did fix this for sure.. Dan does what Dan does... he hears a song and instantly can covert it to metal style.. He loves all genres of music and can sing anything, in original form or powered up. 240+ covers, I'm sure you could find something to suit everyone.. I'm a 71 year old metal head.. but a mom and a gran so yes I like all genres, just not rapping

Not all of Dan's songs are metal versions. He does an absolutely fantastic cover of Nessun Dorma from Turnodout. Luciano Pavarotti would be impressed.
He does a cover of a couple of the songs from Phantom of the Opera but the one that absolutely is stellar in my opinion is The Music of the Night.
His cover of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar blows Ted Neely right out the water.
You are right, he does pretty much stay true to the song that he is covering but he puts his own flare on it he makes it his own in a way.
I would recommend that both of you go down that Dan Vasc rabbit hole and maybe even join the Vasc Nation.
If you boys like Queen then you should definitely check out his covers. Every single one is absolutely wonderful.
How I found Dan in the first place is because I saw a thing come up on my feed for a metal version of Toss a Coin to your Witcher. I really like that show so I clicked on it and that started me on my journey into the Vasc Nation. That's what his more rabid fans call themselves.

Besides the songs listed there's also Bring Me To Life, Bohemian Rhapsody, Kiss From a Rose, Patience, etc Dan is the best!
Highly recommended: Dan Vasc’s Amazing Grace & O Holy Night. He sings these 2 songs in particular in a way you’ve never heard before and will absolutely never forget. You may think you know what you’re in for. Set that expectation aside and know that you’re not ready and there’s nothing you can do to prepare. (It’s ok though…we all were not ready for the earthquake either.)
