What about the absolute need for safety protection? Gloves, goggles etc. Sadly it is the case that these hard-workers are completely re-placeable. If they suffer health issues as a result of their unprotected work, there are ALWAYS others ready to take their place.
I just don't know why Indian labours take pride in not wanting to work with safety equipments? I can bet that these guys would refuse safety equipments even if they've been offered those!

That looks like copper wire that they're using, there has to be a less expensive material to use. Using that copper just for sparklers worth more than what you're making.
