If she becomes dangerous it's could be because she's not being treated with enough respect, but that's the way we treat each other. The only way a lot of us know how to act. But if she's smarter then us maybe she will figure out how to deal with our nerotic behavior . A child that isn't treated well is more likely to have behavior problems. So give her a sane environment.
I love the topic and would love to meet Ameca. HOWEVER, how can we aspire to create a being with human intelligence and EMOTIONS, and these scietists start already being rude and humiliating towards these learning robots? And then wonder why they may LEARN to turn against us?

I have not been excited about most of the robots but I have been watching Ameca for some time now and I would welcome her as a best friend any time. I have no fear of her, but I do fear for her. As usual, no one plans ahead and laws and rights should have been written long ago for Ameca. I worked on A.I. in 2000 and you could tell how fast it would advance. I want to see Ameca have a good life. Her creator has done a fantastic job. I enjoy watching her and would feel very comfortable around her.
Why don't they ever ask these super computers about cures for diseases?
The real problem isn't AI or putting limits on it... The real problem is there are bad people in this world that will put NO limits on it!! People are the problem and that's a problem that can't be solved with any limits on AI!! Pandoras box has been opened and whatever will be WILL BE!

Intellectual uniformity. If intelligence can increase exponentially like this, it is entirely based upon our presumptions about 'smartness' and how we compare relative 'smartness'. I noticed that the term 'smart' is a very popular one within the venacular of engineering and software development. The thing staring back at us from the mirror is our own stupidity. Stupid to perpetuate dogmatic notions about intelligence and superiority and stupid to encourage all of the same human traits that have gotten us into this mess in the first place. Marketability...by making it more human and to encourage human interaxtion for no reason other than feeding to creators egos and making it more sweet, colorful and marketable.
