Hi Sherri..lol..the needle thingy is called a Thread Zap II, it is used to burn bead thread when your making bracelets..still don't have a battery but I will demonstrate how it works..I love Hocus Pocus..the canvas is so cute..hope your having a great day..❤️❤️❤️
