  • Part 3 of the Coolerworx install, we show how the gear stick was adjusted. Admittedly I had already adjusted it, but in this video I walk through what each adjustment does and how to go about adjusting it.

Does it come with any instructions / Allen keys for such adjustments?

I'm having problems getting into 1st and 5th. Does this just need an adjustment. Thanks

What is the issue exactly? Assuming you can get into 2nd and 6th, then I would suggest it is the sacrificial parts on the gearbox or the cables.
On the gearbox, the lever that the cables connect to have nylon bushes that wear out over time and need to be replaced.

@@hyphensclassics it's a second car gets used once or twice a week. A year ago I got this shifter in and worked fine. Now when I drive it's very hard almost impossible to get gear 1. When driving it sometimes doesn't like gear 5, but I never get the crunching, it's more about fighting to get it in. It's strange as it shouldn't be doing that or unless my clutch is on its way out. But I don't think it's that as the gaiter struggles even with engine off.

@@ayaanbretmitchell9830 in which case I would investigate the bushes on the gearbox lever and also the cables. The cables, at the gearbox end, tend to split the rubber and get dirt in, which can cause sticking issues. The bushes on the selector can wear out enough that selecting gears becomes an issue.
I think it is called the transmission shift weight set. Check it out here: www.outmotoring.com/shift-weight.html.

Do you know the measurements you set the pins at so I can copy hahaha save me having to adjust it all too much..

I would have to go measure them, I can do that tomorrow sometime. Note each may be slightly different based on the cables and other tolerances, but if it gives you a start
