I only have 2 model cars (so far) that were taken out of the box by my younger self. they've been sitting on my cabinet for YEARS so they've needed a clean. Thanks!
Awesome video. Nice and to the point. Unforntunately I just learned my lesson before I found this video on the wipers and badges :( wiped the prancing horse off my testarossa liberty walk which sucks but now I know!
Thanks man very helpful .i got paint blistered on few of my diecast cars due to humidity. i display my collection in glass cabinets.Should i keep in a closed ones?
It doesn’t matter if it’s a closed display case, humidity will find a way to it, my models are all in glass cabinets but I keep them in my basement away from direct sunlight and I use a dehumidifier at least twice a week to make sure the air is dry. Plus I do my polishing at least twice a year on them.
For me, ceramic coating is my choice. From the day 1 you bought your model, do quick cleaning and paint correction (if needed, as I found out, It always need a little bit of compound and polish to perfection). Then you use 5 years pro grade ceramic coating to coat your model car. After that, you dont ever bother to add any more protection to your model in many many years. Cleaning after ceramic coating is dead simple: some running water from tap water, a little bit compressed air then the dirt and remain water will come off SUPER easily. Your model car will be dead dry, fresh in 10 seconds! Everytime, in 10 seconds, maximum! Dont go with wax, too much labor.
Thank you 🙏🏼 To be honest I have never had a situation like that so I’m not sure if the scratches will go away I guess it depends how deep the scratch is, I recommend using plastic polish when detailing plastic windows tho 👍🏽
I never use anything other than a bit of a warm water on a micro fibre cloth , anything with chemical might do some damage because it’s not really a glass but plastic. Thanks for the question 🙂
Great video 👍👍👍, I have question, is the wax safe for car’s decals? I collect F1 1/18 cars with many decals on it, I worry that the wax will remove/destroy the decals when I use it. Thanks
Hi thank you for watching my video 🙏🏼 To answer your question: don’t apply the wax directly to the sticker , try to go around it and when you’re ready to polish rub it gently where you have stickers. So far I didn’t have any issues with stickers coming off. Just try to be gentle when wiping on top of them 👍🏽
Warm water is fine but I don’t recommend using any soap or detergent with it, warm water with a soft fibre cloth will rub away any oil residue or finger prints. Cheers and thank you for the feedback 👍🏽
Nice job but never apply or remove wax or compound in circular motion....always back and forth....less chance of micro swirls...im a car detailer...And use a good quality mf towel.....that q-tip thing was killing me. Nice job tho.

You did a great job and also you have a very nice collection
Brilliant video, I thought I was the only one uses car wax for their models. Handy tips with compressed air and white gloves. 👌
Thank you very much 🙏🏼 I appreciate it, I’m glad you like it

Are you ready for an expensive hobby?😅
@@simple_collector_7522You're not kidding. I started 1 year ago and I'm already 11k spent 🤦
Do you know how to remove a bit of yellow in the plastic window and headlights ?
I have never really encountered doing it, but try a clear plastic polish

Also Some models are prone to paint blisters than others
It’s so shiny you can see the difference in color of the plastic parts
Very helpful video! Keep making content
Thanks bro 🙏🏼 your support and encouragement is a big deal to me 👊🏼 respect!
Great video! Very informative! 👍👍👍
Thank you very much

Hey bro which manufacturer is the ceramic coating u use and how much sprays u use?
can minor paint rashes be fixed using this process ?
Hey great video, I also have question on how I can remove scratches of the plastic windows. Should I use polish on the windows?

@@simple_collector_7522 thank you so much I will make sure to try that
Great Video!! I Have A Question I Have A Tan Chevy Impala with A little bit of Oxidation Can I Use A Polish To Remove it or A Rubbing Compound?.
Try the 3M perfect-it EX rubbing compound, I used this in one of my model with a blemish that I could not remove from a regular polish
I have black mustang the edges of the cars are faded should i repaint it...not visible through naked eye...
I say leave it for now, if it gets worse then repaint it 👍🏽
@@simple_collector_7522 ok 🙂

@@simple_collector_7522 Sounds good idea, thanks for the advice
Hello,
Does this liquid wax also work on composite models from AutoArt ? Thanks :-)
Yes it does but don’t put too much just a thin layer
@@simple_collector_7522
Thank you very much for this advice, it's very kind of you. :-)
Om itu cairan pembersihnya ampun GK buat mika mini gt yang udh kusam
Can we use liquid wax?
Yes
What if using a mini rotary polisher with a soft pad? Would it be better to avoid reaching unwanted areas such as decals?
Sure you can do that too
wow
can i do my Model in a warm water with soap? greets from Anoke

Useless, because some day there will be dust again, and that's all you'll do!
