Scientists can now block heroin, morphine addiction

The University of Adelaide
An international team of scientists involving the University of Adelaide and University of Colorado Boulder has proven that addiction to morphine and heroin can be blocked, while at the same time increasing pain relief.
The team has discovered the key mechanism in the body's immune system that amplifies addiction to opioid drugs.
The results of their work are published this week in the Journal of Neuroscience.

I been on suboxone for 10 years and it has given my life back but I can’t stop taking it or I’ll get very sick. I’ve tried to stop but the withdraws are so hard to deal with.

6 years ago, my methadone doctor was doing "trials" of his own and he had perscribed myself and a few other patients some drug that was normaly given to Alzheimers patients. I cant remember the name if its the same as whatthis guy is talking about. But I went from 45mg of meth to 10mg in 1 week. Within a few days of taking the pill I did not think about my meth at all...No normally any opiate user would say they are "sick" with out their meth. So yea there are ANSWERS
