Hi. I stumbled across your channel while searching for Adobe tutorials. Your channel is a God send! I am an apparel design student working for the very first time in Adobe. Your channel has helped me out tremendously 😊. Please don't ever stop don't sharing your knowledge, skill, & creativity. Now that I have just completed my first semester of pattern making I will take advantage of your pattern making tutorials. Thank you.
Hi there!! Thanks so much for your comment, we're so glad they're proving to be useful. Would you be interested in providing a testimonial for us perhaps? If so, we'd love to hear from you at francesca@patternlab.london. Thanks again!
Patricia Nattabi You’re very welcome! We’re glad you enjoyed it and benefitted from it. And yes! It’s important to find the right pics to make your boards look beautiful. It’s a process in itself. If your presenting to customers or clients then it’s important to make it look nice, however, if it’s just to collate your ideas then make it as messy as you like. It’s all about generating ideas regardless of what the Finished boards look like.
thank you for the video! i need some help tho. my illustrator stopped letting me drag and drop from pinterest. any idea why it happened or how to solve it? thank you!
Hmmm. That's odd. Possibly it's a google or browser issue? Functionality like this tends to come and go depending on the times. There might be legal or copyright reasons why you can't do this anymore. Anyone else have an answers to this issue?
@@PatternLabLondon the browser thingy probably make sense. I recently just reset factory settings my laptop. Previously i was using mozilla And the drag drop feature works. But now im using chrome and it does not work. Maybe I could try that! Thank you so much for your help! I'll update if it works. Ps. I'll sub !! 🥰 Tutorials are awesome
You can put anything you like in the mood board. It's entirely up to you. It's there to inspire you and collate the things that you have found. Ideally you categorise the things you have found. Some categories include: Silhouette, Design Details, Colour palette, Fabric, Print, Fastenings/ Pockets. Add and categorise anything that might inspire your collection or garment.
Hi Neko, You'd need to send the full-scale print artwork to a digital print company. You could send them the full scale pattern + print as a PDF and ask them to print it directly on to the fabric. You'd have to make sure the size of your pattern + print does not exceed the width of the fabric they supply. The best option is to have a conversation with the company and find out your limitations. I hope this helps!
I haven’t tried it but this is pretty basic illustrator work so I’m guessing yes. Best way to find out is to give it a whirl. Let us know what you find.
Completely underrated channel. Much appreciated.
Completely agree
Glad you think so, please tell your friends.
Even though I don't have this software to create my fashion mood board this was helpful using PPT to create my fashion mood boards

How to actually print on the fabric?

Does it work in illustrator 2014?
I haven’t tried it but this is pretty basic illustrator work so I’m guessing yes. Best way to find out is to give it a whirl. Let us know what you find.
