Why does every nostalgic images video have a comment with a fucking pin
0:00 dark nights
0:05 come sit down
0:10 new house
0:15 grandma's house
0:20 cabin in the woods
0:25 12:00AM
0:30 the late night laundromat
0:35 the farm
0:40 th3 b4rN
0:45 the garage
1:14 its a mistake
1:20 don't look back
1:25 this is a bad dream
1:29 right?
1:35 or...
1:39 I should get some rest
You are part of it now lol
those last 6 sentences were really scary, nice one
It feels like you are in a mall,it empty though it's the middle of the day,and as you walk around you see that it looks like it's a 70s/80s mall,as you finally sit down and start to sob, because everything seems so familiar to you.
Yeah it feels like being in the 70's an 80's some those places on the pics. .
😭
Malls and 70s / 80s ? You really have to check out the Mallsoft genre on RUclips . Totally focused on this kind of atmosphere but focused on those (now abandoned) malls, at least that feeling.
Now I want to go back to 2008
the feeling of the first image. Is as if you were coming home, remember that you left the door open and now there's someone inside waiting for you...
the one with a brick house reminds me of an image in my moms phone or was it mine? i can't remember but it feels like i've been there but i just can't tell what it was or how it was.
Something about it seems off.
@@wildestofthemall if only you didn't actually live there, unlike me.
Or something...
“Take it all in...”
scared the shit out of me. I was not expecting to see any words in this video
"You are here for a reason"
"Maybe you were here"
"Maybe this place isn't a new place..."
Wait y'all, when do you see the words? If in the end, then what the- Because I got "A car crash on second street summer 2020" and thats fockin weird because i literally got in a car crash in summer 2020.
@@valeriaa_9780 Turn on the captions. The words only appear for a moment, so you might want to pause the video.
This video is actually kind of creepy. The music coupled with these particular images triggers my flight or fight instinct. Reminds me of a really bad dream where you're somewhere weird and you know something bad is about too happen.
I get a sick kick from communicating my constant severe anxiety to the unassuming viewer. What can I say? It's what I live for.
@@papermoon5359 I really dig these kinds of videos though. I feel there is a very profound statement to be found in why we are obsessed with things like this. It's like a feeling we don't know how to describe yet.
i feel the same way
rewatched this and realized at 0:25 the sign says second street and of course the end says "car crash on second street summer 2020"
We're big fans of little details
The 0.0001 split second of the pile of junk symbolizes me moving out of the house I lived in for over 20 years since I was 10 months old. My family and I collected a lot of junk over the years. This image predicts my future. It’s kinda sad. It also symbolizes hundreds and maybe thousands of Good and bad memories at the same time.
I just try to make the most of the good ol days of tomorrow that I'm living in right now
@@papermoon5359 can you show the split second jumpcuts
It's lighting and lack of any signs of life. Watching these makes me feel like it's set in a post apocalyptic world, and life has entirely, or maybe almost entirely been destroyed. I can just imagine myself wandering around a city or town, walking into all these public places and finding not a single living thing, not even animals.
I whole heartly agree
1:58 was the saddest and most scary part of the video. Did a car crash really happen? I really hope it didn’t happen. Hope they survived.
I don't know either 🤷♂️
Who... Cares...
@☔rainy days☔ Don't worry, it's just something the guy who made the video put to seeem creepy.
I replied to one comment here, in which the person was saying that they didn't expect any words in this and they had somwthing completely different then some people who also replied to them, I saw the car crash only, which is really weird because i got in a car crash in summer 2020
no
ok i know i'm super late to this, but that first image literally looks exactly like a house on my road that always creeped out my siblings and me.
It's in the middle of a feild, and barely any people go there, we don't even know if the house is being used or not. The lights are never on, it's just.. there. And it's always dead silent when we go there, like, the wind in the trees and the birds seem to just stop making noise when we do see the house.
It looks exactly the same as the image, it's freaking me out lmfao
Maybe is the same house
Are you sure is not the same ?
Dad?
@@robafire9161 yo wtf
@@cailynnicolet5390 I've been searching for you my whole life, do you have a son who you've never met?
The first image feels like coming back home after going out at night but everybody's gone. There's nothing that wants to kill you inside or anything, it's just empty.
1:29 this... this exact church building is what i pass by everyday when im taking the bus to school. i remember the "no trespassing" sign, the windows, the bushes and the cross. that freaked me out ngl
Love the atmosphere of this video, great work!
Thanks so much we appreciate it
gg
We?
@@papermoon5359 What is the name of the music playing in the background?
The source material for this song is Al Bowlly's version of This Is Romance.
This is what memories look like
I looked at this video yesterday and it does sound pretty sad. And for whatever reason the split second jump cut of the image in 0:39 was a picture of old junk from several years ago also made me sad.
can u like screenshot it and set it as your banner or smt cuz i use 0.25x sometimes and i still cant see it but i get a glimpse of it
Enigmatic edits
You wake up and you're the only person on Earth
Creepy,calming,familiar,and nostalgic. Great work!!! :)
Hell yeah, thank you
0:27 this image literally disturbs me.. When I was a little kid, I actually got lost on my way home at late night.
This image, isn't normal for me.. I actually have a fear of being alone while there's no one there to help me. T^T
Ellie Williams be like
@☔rainy days☔ it practically means that we want to troll people for a second to make them think that we actually posted comment for example 80yrs ago
The scarier thing would be being alone but someone is there to help you
IM NOT EVEN LYING THAT PLACE FR LOOKS LIKE WHERE I LIVE IM NOT EVEN JOKING
when I was a kid living in the smokies, there was this old log-cabin-style mall that my mom and I would go to all the time. it was always so empty, I'm surprised it made it as long as it did. it had this huge antique store that i got lost in all the time, two tiny furniture stores across from each other, and a little shop that had locally made candy, like taffy and honey sticks. that was it. the building was huge though, there were tons of empty lots that were once shops. lots of lonely benches amidst the long walk through the giant mall of nostalgia. they closed that building down eventually and moved to a different area. same three stores, but a little busier. definitely the core of my childhood
"Strangely Familiar Places" ....trees. Yup, definitely seen those before.
Song is AMAZING please make an extended version !!
The song if you're wondering is a slowed down version of Al Bowlly's cover of "This Is Romance."
Sorta. I also laid down a little pad synth part over the slowed down version and added an inordinate amount of reverb
i remember going to a birthday party at a aunts house and i was walking out and nothing was there. is was just the house and me.
another vivid memory of mine is i was going to a party at my moms house (i dont live with her) and when the party was over everyone had white glowing eyes and they all said your home and then i started floating up
and ANOTHER ONE is that i would have very realistic dreams of my grandma going mental, screaming, breaking things, hurting people, and so on. i had these dreams once a week when i was young, and when they stopped everything became strange, nothing felt "the same" it was weird
and the one i know for a fact i wont forget: me and my grandparents were in a funky looking museum and out of nowhere, i was in a dark room and i saw a light, i ran towords it and tried to leave but i couldnt, i was screaming and crying for help but noone heard me, and the most heartwrenching of it all is, i had to sit and watch my grandparents sit in agony because i was missing. who would have known you could get truama from a dream ;-;
(btw pretty much all of these were when i was four :,))
These are the general kind of memories that I personally associate with the feeling we aimed to evoke with this vid, so this is a solid comment. I'm glad you connected w the work so deeply.
Anything old to me is nostalgic even if I don’t know it
This is by far the most creepy liminal space video I’ve seen
Hell yeah, you're too kind. What can I say, though? We're good at what we do.
0:16i remember the smell of ironing, it was cloudy at 6 every morning, it was a complete nosgalgia
Ahh, I remember my old house, the trees were like a forest, so the weather was cloudy in the morning and at 6 in the morning, it was very beautiful
0:35my father and I used to walk in the fields in the evening, and this reminds me of the way both my father and my granma
You feel like you've been here. You're here for a reason.
Y E S
Yes I regret having my subtitles on...
I’ve literally been in most of these places I own the same lamps that is the same door inside my great grandmothers house that’s the same laundromat I was at last week I’m not playing this is scary
I guess you and op live in the same town
They just have exquisite taste
I litterly live in the first image, no cap.
I really really liked this video! in my opinion this is the most unusual video in the style of Weidcore and Dreamcore. I'm telling you as a creative person☝
I remember having a dream in a empty ball room with red carpet and a table under a shandalea it was so quiet.
Lonely feeling you get knowing you already experienced this, but didn't realize it at the time it was happening.
I feel like these really apply to people who lived in rural midwest areas growing up.
Was wondering if u can make a hour long of that music pls!
this is amazing
scary thing is that these are actual places here on the planet earth
True, it's pretty wild to think about, but these places are probably normal with people and life and stuff. I bet, if you could go around a city at night and take some photos, you could probably snap some of these similar pictures.
0:09 back then when everybody's house had brownish doors and door frames
The good ol days
Possible explanations:
0:00 House at night
0:05 Car park at night with flash camera
0:11 Room with bad lighting
0:16 Messy girl's room
0:20 Idk, some wooden building at night
0:25 Street at night
0:30 Empty laundromat
0:35 Tractor in the very early morning
0:40 Barn at night
0:45 Idk, some garage maybe
0:51 Old-timey room
0:55 Some boxes and a toy castle
1:00 Some land at night with flash
1:05 Idk, some bottles of gas maybe
1:09 Bathroom with bad lighting
1:15 Some forest at night, with flash
1:20 House at night
1:25 Some storage with flash
1:30 Church at night
1:35 Gas station at night
1:40 Field at night with flash
1:45 Some house at night with flash, some parts blurred
1:50 Street at night
The first one... kinda looks like my old house, it gives me creepy vibes if you make the windows smaller and wider with different heights, also removing the green things it will kinda look like my house even more or this looks like a house from where I live... it's a really creepy town, cracked buildings and abandoned shops... especially the way it looks like that at night
This video makes me feel sad 😢
This is pretty cool,
Good music. Why did it say A car crash on second street at the end?
Omg
This guy below me is cool
just gonna steal this cool spot real quick
Did you just pull these out of my brain?
Yeah you gotta get password on that thing
What if your consciousness passes through liminal space between lives? A medium ground where these sights and artifacts of consciousness reside but ultimately just serve as a bridge from one life to the next?
I've seen some of these in my dreams sometimes in real life from the past time just flies
can you make a video that shows the jumpcut images? ive been wanting to see them but i cant pause at the right time
These places remind me of a youtuber i used to watch, its like i can see him within these backgrounds.
Creepy!
I noticed some text in the video on the subtitle option tho it's strange. . ..
I getting home alone vibes from that house
The 5th picture reminds me of when I was 10 or 11 and my dad and I went to a public Halloween party in our town and the picture looks exactly like that building
somehow i love this
Music used- *Helpless World 3*- *Hallway Prosperity*
That is incorrect.
So was the music a complete original, compositioned and edited, or did you have a scource you took from?
little bit of both. It's basically a four chord progression from a sample I cut from an old phonograph recording, then that's pitch shifted a half step down into a whatever key that'd be I don't remember. Then I time stretched it for a slower tempo. After that I basically just laid down some synth keys over it in that new key/tempo and added reverb and comprehension and exported it straight into the video editor for this vid. Honestly did it all pretty sloppily, but a lot of people ask similar questions to yours so maybe my problem is I've actually been trying too hard
@@papermoon5359 nah you really nail the feeling for which your going for, no wonder it was hard to find knowing how much you did!
" ahh i remember when we met years ago, you were all funny and nice, where did the years go?"
Someone is there, watching you, you just don't know where, maybe it's a, visual tinnitus, so many things telling you are alone, your mind simply doesn't believe that you are.
nah this gave me the biggest chills ever
0:52
Idk why, this image with the music just gave me sad childhood vibes and I almost cried
Not nostalgia, but rather a mad dad... :’c
1:02
OMG I REMEMBER SEEING A SIMILAR PLACE IN MY ANXIETY DREAM, AND PURPLE GUY WAS WALKING TOWARDS ME AAAA I AHTED THAT T^T (1:17 most likely appeared in that dream aswell) I feel Ima get killed at all these ;-;
I think childhood is a place you can always go back to, but only truly vividly when you're least expecting it.
nOIGHTMARES TIMEEE
Wow
Finally, a more eastern-european version of these videos.
Did the music sample a cover of "This is Romance" by the way?
Yuh!
I have already seen some places in this video in my dreams.
Most of them have shown up in mine too, so if we ever bump into each other in the astral plane, the code phrase is "bananas" so I know if you're for real
This music actually slaps
1:30 Reminds me of a Church I stayed at in Colorado.
уютно
This slowed down version of this is romance sounds like it would be in an album by the caretaker
Most videos I watch of these kinds are not true, but somehow this one has images that seem familiar, or maybe I have been to them.
It's cuz we brought these pics back from the astral plane after ditching this physical world. Or something equally rock n roll
Its gives me grandma's house vibes.
You're onto something
PLAY THIS ON MY FUNERAL PLEASE
Guys I keep coming back to this video help.
muito foda
The fact that i've saw this in my dreams , just make my body chills 🤐
We went somewhere strange, bizarre, and unexplored in our heads the night we went out and took these photos. Just take it as a safe place to explore any uneasy emotions it evokes.
this video is a collection of visual drugs that make you stoned on fear.
The first image really creeps me out and I'm not sure why
I like to think it's cuz we did our job
I’ve been to all these places. I’m 100% positive I have. I’m actually scared. This is all too familiar
What's the music called?
Someone's gonna make a horror game using all these images
Damn this one really popped off, I never realized
Ikr it's kinda cool
These might be nostalgic to my parents, maybe not necessarily me but idk 🤷♂️
link your parents to the vid, and tell them to smash that MF'n like button
Help I’m dying
I think someone is whistling in this music but not every time. Only at the end and at the beginning of the repetition of the music.
anyone hear ?
Fun fact: those whistles you hear are harmonics happening as a result of some different fx plugins I used while mixing the sound track to the vid. I loved how eerie it made me feel when I first heard them in the mix. Sad+sparkly
... I feel so emtpy..
Me too, may we both fill the void someday.
Hey, sorry if someone already asked, but what song is this? i love it so much and i cant find it in the description
It's an original track made for the video. This is all that ever existed of it. I never got around to naming it.
1:00
I swear I saw that tree before
FNAF VHS music :))) that's why it's nostalgic for meeeee
It's actually not FNAF music at all, but you seem so pumped about it being FNAF music that I'll let it slide if you just forget I said anything.
1:17 I think I have been here before I remeber I was travling to North Carolina and there was a rest place and so me and my parents were sitting here eating. I think I was here.
We've been to North Carolina but I can confirm that picture is not from North Carolina................ the power of the mind
Help I’m dying
Esto me recuerda ala casa de mi tía ella ahora vive en otro país la extraño mucho y a mis primos extraño mi infancia 😿
Its like those backroom levels...
So creepy
essa musica chega a arrepiar irmão
if anybody likes the sound , this was sampled by "al bowlly - this is romance"
i like to think all the pics from this vid are taken in the same smalltown somewhere in rural usa
Well...you are pretty much spot on.
What is the name of the music playing in the background?
I think this must be familiar if you grew up in the US but it just photos to me and weird music
Haha yeah it's probably p US centric. I wish I could see the vid through your lens as opposed to having made it, it'd probably be like so wildly different
Ok….This song like i’m at my parent’s party at 2015 and they sing a song, then i go to the toilet and close the door, when i’m open it, i’m at 2021………….
We try to make all our art make the viewer feel like they wasted valuable years of their life
**urinating cuz scared**
Am I the only one that actually loves the song
the car crash message- Like what?? I got in a car crash in summer 2020
0:47 Ah yes, WATER whos gonna fall for that
Silent Hill PSX vibes
