I love everything about this! I work with clay, but for some reason never considered using it as a medium on canvas. I know what I’m doing today!! Thanks for the inspiration. ❤
How creative! Beautiful! I was told, years ago, not to use imitation gold leaf (metal leaf) on acrylic paint without coating it with something in between, as it would tarnish rather quickly. Did you use real gold leaf, or was I misinformed?
Hi Kate thanks for stopping by. 😀 Hmmm, it was my understanding it just needed to be sealed to prevent tarnishing to imitation gold leaf. Good question. 🤔 Now I wonder if the artist I got this tip from was using real instead of imitation. I’m going to have to do more research on that one. Thank you!
Very cool idea. The only thing I would have done in addition was to go over the textures in the clay with micaceous iron oxide to make the textures stand out (grunge it up a little). That would have been cool.
@@searoxxcoastalcreations I’ve even gone so far as to apply it wet and then wipe off the excess, so that the rest of it stays in the grooves of the texture. I’d experiment with that first.
Thank you so much for the feedback and kind words. ☺️ The wood is spritzed with water and the clay adheres to it while it (the clay) is still wet. If the clay pieces were dry already then they would need to be glued on.

You’re more than welcome…. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️
Beautiful !
Thank you! ❤️
I’m curious how heavy this was when finished. I was completely in love with your whole process. TFS
Thank you so much and for the kind words. 😊 Not too heavy at all because the water has evaporated from the clay. Glad you’re enjoying. ❤️
That’s a fun piece!
Thank you! It sure was.😀

So I just looked it up…. Dry brush it you think? Thanks, what a cool product.

Exactly! Thank you for the tip. 👍🏼
Really love this piece. ❤ Very pretty, and modern. Different and unique.
Loved the tutorial.
Did you glue the clay to canvas?

Interesting project. Music is terrible and completely annoying.
Thanks for stopping by though.
