Great video wow I would’ve loved one of these as a kid…. I used to be into rc cars big time now I have drone fever!!!! Lol thanks for being awesome captain drone
Hi Steve I’ve been waiting for this car since I got my wltoys 14401 which you did a show on and it actually got me to get one and get back into rc cars and trucks. this one looks great being a bigger version of the 14401 the only problem I have with it is that they used the same motor from the smaller car. I was really hoping they were gonna go brushless and can’t figure out why they didn’t. Sure it’s cheaper for them but I’m sure they would sell at least twice as many. The hype on this was huge until the brushless motor that was in some of the spy shots didn’t make it to the final product so people just buy the 14401 or the purple and white bodied one that is the same as the 14401 just a couple of inches longer in the body. This could have been a game changer if they went brushless. Thanks again another great video you really sounded like you were having a blast with it.
hello captain drone...i was waiting for your review about the cfly faith 2...so excited...its okay if it was delayed sorry for my bad english...love from malaysia
If you’re thinking about FPV, then the answer is yes. The problem is the range of the stock receiver is pretty short so you’ll have to replace a lot of stuff if you want to get further. If you don’t plan to, then just pick up a budget FPV camera and goggles and a small 1s lipo battery (for the camera). You could probably also just power the camera off the car’s battery but, given how low powered it already is, I wouldn’t want to drain it any more than I have to.
DJI is in a state of reorganization so they are just pumping out old items with a new coat of pain (like the MAVIC SE and OSMO POCKET WHITE, etc). Eventually you'll see the Mavic 3 and perhaps one other drone later this year.
Not better, but just different (i.e., this is a BUGGY and the other one is in the MONSTER TRUCK class). Buggy's are used in competitive racing on indoor/outdoor tracks with plenty of turns and bumps.
SJRC F11 is outdated (2 yrs old), so scratch that. FLYHAL FX1 is a 1:1 clone / rebranding of the MJX. I have the MJX, and quite happy with it, especially for price point.

I want to get something like this for my dad, he's into RC but all of his RC cars and trucks are kind of parts RC vehicles right now. I'll find him something better than his $20 wish/amazon rc car.
You could place a transmitter on a car but it would have to be a crawler car. The fast moving cars could be dangerous if you are driving them with goggles on.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Just search “how to add FPV to an RC” here on RUclips and you’ll get lots of hits. Not just crawlers but all sorts of vehicles. But just like flying, you’ll need to comply with local laws regarding its use as they can be a public nuisance and cause damage if used improperly.

It is a great car for speed runs but not for heavy bashing, the chassis ( bottom plate ) bends easily. The smaller wltoys 1/14 and 1/12 scales are better for bashing.

A year? I think it has only been out for a few months? Please note that I do not rush to get vids out because I unfortunately have to go to work so products sit in my basement for a good period of time before I review them.
Wasn't a complaint still love your vids I know you are the same as most of us with day jobs. I have bought a few products after watching your reviews. 👍
Yup that would be expensive. The issue is that you are rather late to this video. When the video was made (some time ago) the vehicle was very inexpensive. Unfortunately now, due to little stock and the location of your country, the analytics cause the price to jump. My guess is, if this vehicle is still produced & not replaced with a different model, the price will drop way down again.
You sound American why are you using kilometers nobody here uses that try MPH so us Americans 🇺🇸 know what the hell your talking about. Then again you kinda have a slight weird accent yea your not American 🇺🇸 maybe Canadian?????
On the planet earth there is but two countries I believe that still use the old IMPERIAL system and the USA would be one of them. For this reason I have to go with the majority and use METRIC. This is why everything you purchase that is made for the world (and not specifically the USA) is always in METRIC. Most of the young generation in the USA are more familiar with the METRIC system and do the conversion in their heads. I live in CANADA where everything is METRIC, but I grew up in the generation where the old IMPERIAL system existed in CANADA, so my generation uses both (we measure in inches but talk about speed and distance in KM/H) which makes it confusing for the younger generation.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I respect that but maybe you could do kilometers and MPH a lot of the other guys do. Because honestly when you say like 50 kilometers and hour it’s like ok how fast is that. @@nick92065 As a low budget investment, I think they are good. Now for the serious (like yourself it would appear)... you would spend little and then upgrade anything you found to be not up to your standard, just like we all do with the Arrma, Losi, Redcat and Traxxas brands. Rarely does anyone buy an RC Car who is into the RC Car hobby, and leave it stock.
As an owner of this buggy, I wouldn’t call it that. Neither would I say it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, but there’s a huge gap in between and it fall somewhere there. The 144001 and 124018/9 are quicker and faster, but since they’re smaller, are also less stable in high speeds (once upgraded). The 104001 is much more stable in high speeds after you upgrade it, but since it’s fairly new, owners are still trying to figure out the best gear ratios to achieve top speed. In just a few months, several owners have already gotten it over 100 mph. This is for a buggy that costs under $200 and with upgrades that cost well under that. It would cost you way more if you go with Arrma or Traxxas, but you’d probably also get to go faster. Still, it has its niche and it will take its owners to a nice, happy place as long as they accept it for what it costs.
Great car, i have one, converted it to brushless, Now it is blazing fast and lot more fun 😊
Yeah mate brushless system so much or power. I've got 3 1/8 arrma kraton's 6s 1 has 8s system in it insane power 🤣😆

A car with speed over 35 km/p and general use I would replace it with a brushless motor. You get even more speed and drive-time.
If you want speed, a brushless motor and ESC upgrade would be needed.
