hello, to solve the problem of water shaders in version 5.4 put this line in the command line console "r.water.waterinfo.rendermethod 2" before rendering and you will see that the water appears again, thanks and congratulations for your beautiful tutorial, I learned so much from you.
@@magnetvfx - v5.4.2 just released today and as per the Release Notes, this should be fixed: "UE-206996: Water is not rendering properly on MRQ output."
Hello, if anyone is still encountering problems with nanite (step at 17:00) using unreal engine 5.4, i found a solution. Since this tutorial was made in unreal engine 5.3 a crucial step has been skipped. Inside the material graph (step at 15:50), there is an additional red warning this video doesn't have. It hints to turn on the "Enable Tassellation" checkbox inside the Details panel under "Nanite" section (just scroll down a bit and you will find it). Then restart the project and rebuild nanite data for landscape. You should be good to go :)
For those that weren't seeing the layers in the landscape after setting the material, you have to go to Landscape -> Paint -> Layers and click the last button next to the "Layers" row that says "Create Layers from assigned material". Then paint over the entire landscape with the paint tool. I'm not sure why this didn't happen automatically for me. I'm on ue5.5.
Just built my first PC last month and have been teaching myself unreal engine. I am continually stunned how beautiful the graphics are and watching the first couple minutes of your video is really awesome. It is videos like yours from so many other creators that got me motivated to save my money and get a PC in the first place so to you and all of them I say thank you 1 million times
seriously wish more tutorials follow the format that you are using from the way you are narrating and showing us how to do this it makes things so much easier. I have been screen recording your video so I can watch them back and hit the pause button and sometimes I even watch them at half speed so I can keep up with what you’re doing

Now i feel much better and confident. :) So thanks to u. Also want to add that the way u explain step by step makes it easy to follow.
Hi thank you so much for this tutorial. I am also currently learning UE5 for the first time and couldnt resist the amazing technology these days. I am however stuck on enabling nanite and building the data. Once built, there is not visual change whatsoever even when changing the displacement amount. Cheers!
Excellent tutorial! You are the best teacher! You make learning UE fun and easy. Could you create a giant underground cavern environment? A secret underworld illuminated by glowing mushrooms? With a sea and a castle on top of a dormant volcano? And a village with onion-shaped roofs? Just an idea for another of your wonderful tutorial! Thanks!!!!
Hi !! Great content !! Next tutorial, when you use megascans assets, please also mention the ids so that it becomes easier to find the necessary assets. Some have similar names so its a little confusing.

Hey there. Really appreciate the work u put into this channel and the unreal community. I’ve got a question regarding this video. Is the complete scene optimized for performance and gameplay ready or is it just for cinematics?
Hello dear MagnetVFX. I wonder if you can design a level like in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3? The atmosphere of disarray, abandonment and fear within the buildings is very good. Could you try this please?

Hi. I have an issue with Gaea map which was inported in UE. When I place a river, the landscape does not change. I try to adjust the depth, but it practically does not change, that is, the river does not press down with the landscape. The same thing happens with sculpting, when I try to extrude the landscape with the Shift key pressed, nothing happens, and when I release it, the landscape grows. Why does this happen? Please tell me!
Thanks!, This Helped me a Lot
