    Hello, if anyone is still encountering problems with nanite (step at 17:00) using unreal engine 5.4, i found a solution.
    Since this tutorial was made in unreal engine 5.3 a crucial step has been skipped. Inside the material graph (step at 15:50), there is an additional red warning this video doesn't have. It hints to turn on the "Enable Tassellation" checkbox inside the Details panel under "Nanite" section (just scroll down a bit and you will find it). Then restart the project and rebuild nanite data for landscape.
    You should be good to go :)

    For those that weren't seeing the layers in the landscape after setting the material, you have to go to Landscape -> Paint -> Layers and click the last button next to the "Layers" row that says "Create Layers from assigned material".
    Then paint over the entire landscape with the paint tool.
    I'm not sure why this didn't happen automatically for me. I'm on ue5.5.

    hello, to solve the problem of water shaders in version 5.4 put this line in the command line console "r.water.waterinfo.rendermethod 2" before rendering and you will see that the water appears again, thanks and congratulations for your beautiful tutorial, I learned so much from you.

      @@magnetvfx - v5.4.2 just released today and as per the Release Notes, this should be fixed: "UE-206996: Water is not rendering properly on MRQ output."

    Just built my first PC last month and have been teaching myself unreal engine. I am continually stunned how beautiful the graphics are and watching the first couple minutes of your video is really awesome.     For people having issues with nanite (What worked for me) Turning on nanite plugin, Converting all the roughness map to HDR Compressed, and Values of Displacement Amount 2, Offset 0.01
    Strength 0.5, Contrast 1.5( I think so this will be dependent on diff materials)

      I am facing the nanite problem (time stamp 17:00). After Rebuiliding data, my landscape remains flat. I tried these step, but did not work. :(

    Hi thank you so much for this tutorial. I am also currently learning UE5 for the first time and couldnt resist the amazing technology these days. I am however stuck on enabling nanite and building the data. Once built, there is not visual change whatsoever even when changing the displacement amount. Cheers!

    Amazing Tutorials!! Very thorough!
    Im having trouble enabling displacement though. I follow, step by step, and nothing happens, still flat. I enabled a plugin called "nanite displacement something..." and no luck either :(

    Thanks for this. I've been going nuts trying to get water to work. Question: is there a way to change the motion direction of the water? I've placed my river and realized it is flowing UPWARDS instead of downwards and I don't want to remove it and put it back in from scratch. Can er just... flip it?

    Are Bhai kabhi models import karna bhi batado, its hard for some of us to export our own custom models even if theyre optimised and UVs are proper... Can you please make a videi about that? Aap toh downloaded models use kar lete ho, lekin hum humare custom models kaise import kare? Aapko toh materials bhi change nahi karna padta, lekin hum kaise materials banaye aur tweak kare ispe bhi video bana do please... Otherwise great work and dont stop

      bhai agar app reality capture use karke model create karte ho toh usme texture model k sath e create ho jata hai or unreal engine waise vi modelling k liye utna use nehi hota jitna blender or maya max use hota hai or megascan me wahat sara photo scan models available hai to udhar se hi mil jata hai firvi may try karunga agar waisa koi tutorial mai bana pau thank you bhai

    water is still unrealistic, no collision reaction with rocks or riverbank but I believe a 5.4 version is coming to generate better water visuals.

    For the water river not showing up in 5.4, just place water body lake before (or after), i will activate the water shader.

      you need to open the textures (all of them) and deselect virtual texture streaming, after that you can drag them in

    FYI for anyone else that's struggling. Nanite is not compatible with M1 macOS, M2 and onwards I believe is okay (but I haven't tested myself since I only have an M1)

    The fast flowing river looks very urealistic. Too fast und the sides doenst interact with the envoriment. Beside this very good tut!
