Great mix. Although I'm disappointed that monodrone wasn't featured at all. He makes arguably the best melancholic barber beats in the scene. Hell, you could make this same kind of mix with just his music I bet
I like mono drone but the truth is all of these guys are just taking lounge tracks and slowing them down and putting a drum sample over them. The only one that I know of who is actually writing original music is desert sands.
The lingo "Barber Beat" or "Barber wave" actually derives from the artist "Haircuts for men", one if the first artist that broke through the low-tempo/reverb genre.
