For a beginner looking to learn to drift, I'd personally recommend you use a A class car as I found these to be the easiest to control when starting out. I had the Twerkstallion & picked up drifting in no time at all. Then i moved onto S1 drift cars which have alot more torque & BHP so slighty harder to handle. But that's just my suggestion. Great video though 👍

Thanks for the tutorial, I've always struggled to drift over a long period. I have still two story modes to get 3 stars 😢 The Nissan GTR & the BMW M3 drifting stoey levels! 300,000 and 600,000 drift points I think! I can knly get two stars 😅 My first mistake is the speed entry and full power style. This has shed new light on my rubbish drifting skills! Thanks for the video! 😊
Bro this helped soooo much, cause I already knew how to drift pretty well but couldn’t consistently get a good line, but the holding the e-brake till you get to the edge of the corner thing you said made is so much more satisfying and consistent. Keep up the great content❤
I've never been more ready to throw a controller across the house when I counter steer the wheels are in fact angled away from the corner but The car still whips around and I end up doing a donut. Using the 240SX with a drift tune. I feel like I'm trying to do 20 things at once
Great tutorial overall but the only complaint is that after i drift the suggested car will turn on it's own, i'll stop and then go again and then it will turn, but the best drifting tutorial i've ever seen.
thank you man ❤️ and the car does that because the rear wheels are spinning and rotating the car so you have to counter steer to go straight. i hope that helps :)

loved the mega controller overlay =) i have neuropathy so my hands are fucked lol its like trying to play this game with 2 pairs of thick winter gloves on. but this video gave me some very good tips to practice on and with. ty for taking the time to make this video
My issue is with steering on the drift. I try to counter steer but I almost always end up turning, lets say, left on a right drift, or right on a left. That or I can only hold a drift a few seconds, I almost always straighten out
maybe u still have traction or stability control on. but if not try giving it more gas while you’re sideways and maybe using a little less counter steer

You should make a video on a guide and tips for all new players on how they should improve their driving skills and what to look for . I play with ultimate driving to get used to the game and on above average difficulty but it's tough for someone who doesn't know what to look for. I was wondering why my drifting was so inconsistent. I was in manual. 😅 Honestly, I've noticed that expensive and fancy super cars just don't do it for me. I just want a sweet little Rx8 to drift through the mountains.

Me personally I just yeet my rx-7 into the corner at like 70 mph and either do like the coolest drift ever or go flying into a tree so yeah this definitely is going to help

yeah u need to be in specific gears when you’re drifting and automatic won’t keep you in the correct gear. u definitely need to switch to manual if you want to get better :)

more throttle will rotate your car more. to unrotate it / straighten it out you’d steer right while making a left turn or steer left while making a right turn also called counter steering

We need presets in the settings that we can adjust the settings within the presents that stay the way we like that way when change cars an we want something else like being a auto from a manual on the fly
So my biggest problem is I’ll initiate a hand brake drift but then when I go to clutch and gas sometimes it’s like my gas just fails for a sec and it messes up my drift any suggestions
So, let's pretend I'm a moron that can't make my hands shift, steer, gas, brake all at the same time. Like others have said with automatic I was doing ok to sub par...after trying no clutch manual I can tell I'm going to need to figure it out. Any tips on figuring out how to split my hands, or is it just practice? As soon as i hit the E brake i steer hard in whichever direction and leave it there while feathering the gas and E brake...i know in my head I need to steer but I can only concentrate on how I am not doing it correctly. As soon as I try to steer my gas gets all screwed or I hit brakes full stop. Ngl, it's an absolute nightmare. Like im playing Forza crime scene generator or something.

Oh my god I’ve tried n everything spinning out light on throttle using assisted steering then adjusting control settings it’s totally impossible spent more time on drifting and less racing trying to achieve a percentage of game completion something that isn’t for me good say few hours in that time actually did something beneficial & not wanting to see if my controller could go sideways across the floor after I used an e brake 🥵🤬
In nfs at the corners i was dropping down shift and i was double taping and then i was puttin one shift up to stay on the road and i kept going i don't understand how FH5 work.
this game would be insane with a less arcadey driving model something like carx drift racing, this looks so bad from the drone because the car is always twitching on every correction.
i am trying this on FH4, but when i release the accelerate button at any time the car just goes back to going straight, i must be doing it at the wrong time, and i don't know when to do it, also don't know when to counter steer either
you can’t properly drift without driving manual so i’d recommended u learn it. it should only take 5 minutes to get used to it and u just have to stay in 3rd and 4th gear with the tune i show at the beginning
How are the scores in the drift zones scored? Is it a mix of the angle/speed? If so, do you know if they have equal scoring potential, or if angle over speed scores higher, or vice versa?
Giving us an unrealistic meta drift tune isn’t going to teach us noobs to drift, this is like giving us a cheat code. The hardest part of drifting is starting the drift, and knowing when to start, this tune removes the whole experience tbh

For me my lay out is LB is clutch ,
X is shift down ,
A is hand brake
B is shift up triggers are brakes and gas

yes my A is the handbrake and if you’re not starting your drift from a dead stop then always start in 4th gear with this and most tunes.

hold down the clutch while u hold ur handbrake. that should fix it :)
You can also use just manual so you don’t have to worry about the clutch, with manual it never has that priblem

i would assume its a car-by-car thing the gears used to drift? i use a silvia and i usually am able to control it better on 3rd gear

In nfs heat you double tap the accelerate and you do drift i didn't understand how the drift work on forza horizon
forza has more realistic physics than nfs u have to manually oversteer the car
