Thank you for this informative video. Very happy to be one of the REP EU customers. Hope to see all these Ares 2.0 innovations available in the EU website soon. I believe that it is important to provide an product prediction/availability timeline for EU customers for them to know what to expect from REP because this is not only about buying the PR-5000 just like I did. I expect to buy the rest of the equipment for it, like Ares 2.0 so we need to have our expectations met before buying the base equipment that are already available on the website. So in the end I decided to take the risk and I have bought the PR-5000 and its base attachments without knowing when the Ares 2.0 will be available and just based myself on: "it will be available anytime soon" which is a risk that I decided to take but other potential customers might not want to take that risk. So.. maybe REP should rethink about its commercial strategy and try to set release dates for the equipment that is not yet available.

Waiting on mine I pre-ordered back in May suppose to be Oct 1, but got pushed back to Mid Dec. However I did ordered PR 5000 rack with it and that was delivered pretty quick and its really nice.
Excellent design update on how the cables attach to the handles with the quick pins/swivel and not that terrible banana clip! Thanks for showing that in the video and I imagine that was one of the reasons for the delayed shipment. And love that prototype on the pull up bar for 4 post.
@@markhalstead2386 yes the swiveling pulleys have always been there in the 2.0 area but that new quick pin connector was not there until this video, it was that old simple banana clip from the ares 1.0. I also see that new quick pin connector on the low row handles in the video and that too wasn’t in the earlier 2.0 web images or videos.
@@patrickmurray1246 Now I do see the banana clip in the first video after looking back. An August 9 Instagram post by Rep shows the swivel clip, so the swivel clip has been around since early August. I still don't believe it is what delayed by October 25th delivery to the third week of December.
For the ares 3.0 you need to make the low row have adjustable height for the foot plate and the pulley. Its not about sitting on the floor that is the problem its that the optimal mechanics would be: feet slightly below hips and the row inline with your torso. Dear Rep, make the trolleys a smith machine by locking out the cable of the handle, therefore directly linking the height of the trolley 2:1 with the weight stacks. How? This is great! When are you going to have dividers for the ball and plate storage shelf? I see the holes on the shelf, but you still don't have any dividers so I can make it fully functional horizontal plate storage.
very happy with my ares 2.0 purchase, still waiting for my limited edition clear shrouds, but other than that stoked with my setup. Now when can we expect the following: rep runner (was hoping to hand yall my money this year), updated belt squat attachment, and drop-in smith machine. Need answers please
This would be absolute perfection if it offered an option for a foot more width. I already have a squat rack and would love to have this as a wide-enough functional trainer.
Another nice option would be a way to lock the swivel pulley from moving. As a case in point if I’m doing tricep pushdowns off the front functional trainer pulley and trying to stay underneath it, the pulley has a tendency to hunt left and right. This makes it where you have to step out a bit to pull tension in one direction.
Is there any update on potential belt squat attachments or other notable additions to this ecosystem? I’m trying to decide if it’s better to go all in on this or grab an Athena and lat pull low row.
New builders are rolling out this month to make it much faster/work on mobile. Till then, it should work on any computer, and any non safari/iphone native browser on mobile.
@@98R0791 Units have already shipped and people are posting them online. But ramping up production takes time to ensure proper quality. We are working as fast as possible on that without sacrificing quality - our #1 goal.
I’ve seen a few places now that REP is working on a smith machine attachment - when does that come out, and what’s taking so long? Smith machine design hasn’t really changed in decades. Does this mean REP is doing something different there?
Would having extended feet on the front, without the back ones, and being as close to the wall be an issue? Also how's the stability if I'd use mini feet for example while doing pull ups or having a bar with the plates on the spotter arm.
Both are in the prototype phase, along with 50+ other items. It's just taken longer than anticipated to make ones that are market leading and get the feel perfect without being too heavy/annoying to store, etc.
@@REPfitnessI hate how everyone is stuck in the “3x3 upright” design for jammer arms. They’re not uprights, and they don’t benefit from being heavy and “beefy.” Use the smallest possible amount of metal, and maybe add roller trolleys on them to recreate linear pressing and pulling machines
Trying to figure out how to order now for future integration: smith machine, belt squat, leg extension, etc. - is it something where I should invest in the 6 post ares or will they work with a 4 post or be able to be daisy chained off the side of a 4 post? I just don't have a lot of depth room
It's in development and a high priority for 2025. Our recommendation would be to get this now and show off all the gains you're making. And show this comment to her :)
Some taller folks prefer sitting a bit lower to the ground (or on the ground) for lat pull downs on the 80" rack. Our 6'3" product marketing coordinator doesn't have an issue with it though! Sometimes it just comes down to preference and the attachments you're using.
Few things... we will be dropping a follow along video here in the next few days that should help a lot. This is besides the instruction manual that you get. Both of those make it feasible to put together, especially if you have a buddy helping (We recommend bribery with beer/pizza), and even if you aren't super mechanically inclined. While we do have assembly help in the USA - we sub-contract with these people now: repfitness.com/pages/assembly-services - maybe there is an assembly service local to your area that could help.
@@REPfitness I will have to do something for my wife to get her help. I did put Ares 1 together by myself, but had help from the buyer in dismantling it.
Since you're still replying to comments, do I need the 6-pole configuration with the 93" height and 41" depth to ensure the inevitable smith machine add-on will fit, or would I need to buy a different rack for that? It's a big investment, so I want to make sure. I'm after a 3-in-1 but really want the Ares 2.0-just wish it included the smith machine.
We don't have details yet on future product compatibility, but we always recommend the 5000 series and larger racks for maximum compatibility in general!
Rogue is getting very competitive on price for their similar rack and they are made in America. Any chance we will see a Black Friday sale to blow them out of the water?
We knew there would be followers after others saw the success of the Ares 1.0, Athena, and our other integrated cable options. They raised their price recently, so I think the delta is more significant now. As for discounts on the Ares 2.0 or Pepin... it's tough since people have waited months for their pre-order to ship, and right when we start shipping... to put it on discount with much shorter lead times... would feel insulting to some of our most loyal customers. What do you think?
@@REPfitness i wouldn't say a customer that waited for a sale compared to someone that jumped on a presale is anymore loyal, especially considering the current state of the economy and families needing to stretch their dollars even further. Also anyone jumping on a presale (especially for such a kick ass product) knows that there's a possible risk to be first in line rather than wait for a smokin deal. And lastly nothing says you can retroactively discount the pre orders or give store credits.
@@REPfitness as someone who doesn’t have a preorder and won’t be able to buy until 2025 I would say you are in a complicated spot. I think $300 shaved off would be nice but I do think it would be a bad look for your pre order customers
@@mthmas2460i ordered the 2.0 the last week of June. Original delivery date was this month. I received a call from REP pushing delivery date to December!
The 3rd paragraph here - repfitness.com/products/ares-2-0-builder - " Lastly, there is a cutout on the sides so you can perfectly center your REP bench (AB-5200 2.0, BlackWing adjustable bench , AB-3000 2.0)" We had to stick with the wider cut outs on the newer larger rear base design because if we cut in too narrow, then docking/centering wouldn't make sense. You can always remove the footplate to still get extra depth for incline benching.
Really informative video and the product looks great! Can I just ask, is it possible to use the cable pulleys for bench pressing or squats? I’m trying to find a product that doesn’t require additional plates. Could you get a long bar to join the cables to simulate the same? (Sorry if this is a stupid question!)
Not sure if you'd be able to place the bar on the j-cups, could be wrong though. Do ask the same question on r/homegym - daily thread, you'll get more help there for sure.
Not a stupid question at all! Yes, there are some connector bars out there. If you google "longer straight dual hook cable bars" - some options should come up. Hope this helps!
Let our official UK distributor know you want it asap. By asking them, they can prioritize stuff faster. repfitness.com/pages/international-distribution
Can you use jammer arms with the trolleys up higher to attach to the jammer arms for pull downs? Will the arms interfere with the cables on the uprights?
Could I do chest supported cable rows with this and rep pegasus attachment, or would the cable get in the way? Is there any way to mount the rep pegasus seat to the center where the lat pulldown is? Can you use gym pins to increase stack weight?
When is Rep Fitness going to buy Mag Grips, Spot Grips, and Trak Fitness? You need to bring those attachments and grips in-house! Would love to see Rep Fitness up your attachment innovation game? If you create a cross between a grip and an abstrap that goes around your elbow/upper-arm for trap and back work, that would be something I've never seen before. Or maybe figure out something functional that could be done with the barbell endcaps (eg some sort of sensor). Also, if you can figure out how to bring back Lynx Grips, that would be awesome! My old pair is getting ... well, old, but still works.
Can't talk too much about it (you'll understand why once they start dropping)... but we will be coming out with a line of higher end cable attachments soon.

New builders are rolling out this month to make it much faster/work on mobile. Till then, it should work on any computer, and any non safari/iphone native browser on mobile.
I haven't pre-ordered yet, but the Dec ship date makes me sad for new orders lol.
Oh shoot, I also see the new extension for the pull up bar.
I ordered mine the last week of June. Original delivery date was this month. Received a call last week from REP pushing back to December!
@@Clumsy619 Dang so they're way behind. They need additional factories to actually meet demand.
No ETA to announce just yet- our team is working hard to finalize a couple more final touches
Hi REP, will you deliver the ares 2.0 special edition first? Or i need to wait to december too?
Does Rep plan on offering a full width roller type setup to hold you in place for pulldowns as an alternative to using two leg rollers?
We're always working on new innovations - plenty of new products coming in 2025 to keep an eye out for!
Is the UK only getting access to the Ares 1.0? I'd have thought with the launch into the UK this would include the new products line?
Bring back the orange uprights. I’d already have it pre ordered
That is great - when are you releasing this in Europe!!!???
Our goal is Q1 2025
Thing is that I would buy it today as I was sold on it from reveal day, BUT there are no units in UK available to buy!😢
Best thing to do is let our official REP distributor in the UK know that you want it asap. They will work on it faster that way : )
Multiple products in the works ONLY for the ares 2.0? Or will these future products be compatible with other FT systems like the Athena?
I pre-ordered mine in May. Delivery has been pushed back at least twice...
Would having extended feet on the front, without the back ones, and being as close to the wall be an issue?
Also how's the stability if I'd use mini feet for example while doing pull ups or having a bar with the plates on the spotter arm.
When will we see a leg extension/curl attachment for the racks! as well as a jammer arm 2.0 with a trolly and pop pin as well as side to side motion!
Both are in the prototype phase, along with 50+ other items. It's just taken longer than anticipated to make ones that are market leading and get the feel perfect without being too heavy/annoying to store, etc.
@REPfitness I would love to see jammer arms without the 3x3 arms just thin carbon fiber bars to make them lighter and add handles or something
@@REPfitnessI hate how everyone is stuck in the “3x3 upright” design for jammer arms. They’re not uprights, and they don’t benefit from being heavy and “beefy.”
Use the smallest possible amount of metal, and maybe add roller trolleys on them to recreate linear pressing and pulling machines
Trying to figure out how to order now for future integration: smith machine, belt squat, leg extension, etc. - is it something where I should invest in the 6 post ares or will they work with a 4 post or be able to be daisy chained off the side of a 4 post? I just don't have a lot of depth room
Can you share what the small updates you did to the ares 2.0 besides the 2 pieces that hold the lat pull down bar?
Is it possible to use bands withe the ares 2.0?
When will it come to europe? And will it come with kg labeling?
The Ares 2.0 does not offer band pegs for the cables. Estimated to arrive in Europe in the first half of 2025! Will have kg labels.
In the video you say you’re 6 foot 2, is the rack you are demonstrating on the 80” or the 93” please?? I’m ready to order just need to decide the size
The demos in this video are on the 93" rack!
What you guys yapping about my wife won’t let me get one unless you make a smith machine attachment 😂😂
They say it's in the works 👀
It's in development and a high priority for 2025. Our recommendation would be to get this now and show off all the gains you're making. And show this comment to her :)
@@REPfitnessdo you think the smith machine would work with this rack or will it require buying a new rack?
@@claude4630 It would kill sales if everyone had to buy a new rack for a new component. I imagine it will work with current racks.
@@claude4630it has to work with the PR5000 V2 at a minimum
Can you talk about the 80” rack for tricep push downs and pull downs? Will it be okay for someone 6’?
We recommend the 93" but you may have to kneel or bend your knees a bit more but you can still do it on the 80" rack!
Some taller folks prefer sitting a bit lower to the ground (or on the ground) for lat pull downs on the 80" rack. Our 6'3" product marketing coordinator doesn't have an issue with it though! Sometimes it just comes down to preference and the attachments you're using.
Do yall have a leg press?
We do not.
Any updates for the PR-5000 stainless steel uprights/crossmembers? 👀
Shooting for next year release! Stay up to date with our newsletter!
When does the bracket for the pull bar come out for the 4 post?
Still making a couple adjustments but estimated to come out within the upcoming months
9:05 when will this item (pull-up bar) be available for purchase?
Launching in the next cpl months.
@@REPfitnesswill it be compatible with the standard pull up bar you guys sell?
Is the rep cardio runner ever going to have a release date?
What is the length of the 4 post (with the mini feet included)
You're kicking their butt. They "other guy".
When are you adding the micro adjustment to the athena pr5000 v2 as a add on? I would like to get one for mine athena
If you have it shipped to Canada, will you put it together ? If so, what would that cost be ? 👀
Can you use the mini stabilizer footers on the front? I was told by customer service it has to the the longer ones.
You should use the bigger one for extra stability- the bigger the footprint the more stable
When are we going to get a preacher curl attachment and a leg extension/leg curl attachment for our Blackwing bench?
Its not a matter of being only for the Blackwing. It is needed for a lightweight bench too.
@@REPfitness Got you, appreciate the reply!
Rogue hot goot quality. But the Ares 2 functions better all around
Sweet video! Do you know which wheeled Rep benches the bench doc will be compatible with? Will it work with the 4100?
I have the version 1 of the AB-5200 and I have the same question.
@@REPfitnessthank you. So does that mean the bench doc is not compatible with the 4100?
Please make a smith machine add on for 6 poll configuration….
A lot of new equipment coming next year! Stay up to date with our newsletter on new product launches!
Is the rack in the video 80" or 93" height?
This is the 93"
Need one here in the UK please asap
Let our official UK distributor know you want it asap. By asking them, they can prioritize stuff faster. repfitness.com/pages/international-distribution
@@REPfitness Hope so 😀
Can you use jammer arms with the trolleys up higher to attach to the jammer arms for pull downs? Will the arms interfere with the cables on the uprights?
Could I do chest supported cable rows with this and rep pegasus attachment, or would the cable get in the way?
Is there any way to mount the rep pegasus seat to the center where the lat pulldown is?
Can you use gym pins to increase stack weight?
Very good question the Pegasus one.
Don't think REP Pegaus works on the Ares at all, you could place it but imagine the ROM.
Will there or will it be possible at all to upgrade pop pins with delrin on the 1.0?
Possibly be sold in the future but not at this time
When is Rep Fitness going to buy Mag Grips, Spot Grips, and Trak Fitness?
@@REPfitness Awesome-squatz! If you need a beta tester, let me know! I should theoretically have a Rep Ares in January.
God dammit! Just take my money! If you guys can produce a rival to Rogues Rhino belt squat then I will be kitting my home gym entirely in Rep Fitness gear.
Not just a rival. Something better is in the works. Can't wait to showcase it.
How do I find the pull up bar setup for the 4-post? lol I’ve been trying to find it on the site.
Not yet released.
When the area 2.0 goes live for actual purchase (not preorder) will pick up from the California warehouse be an option?
Yes, like all of our equipment that sometimes starts with a pre-order, it eventually gets to same/next day shipping or same day pick up at our CA/PA locations.
What is the height of the REP Ares that you are using on the video?
That's the 93. Saw ares 1.0 on an 80 last week and it feels small which is a shame as I can't fit a 93...😞
