i used a 60 rpm gear motor and it has decent speed (might consider something faster or gear it differently), i also used the same size gears at that point in time. you will have to find a way to keep debris from going back and clogging the drive wheel, ive had this problem with it binding up. i order all my parts from ServoCity . com. All really good parts, never had a problem ordering from them.
Nice job, how did you mount the gear to the existing axel? Did you replace the axel?
