I’ve been on the iPhone Black & white challenge for one month as of February 2024, everything dose look like an old movie or news from a long time ago, such as Trump/Biden instead of 2024, they’re in 50’s or early 60’s. I also see in black and white for a few seconds after I look up from using my phone, just for a very slight few seconds most things around me such as the trees, the ground, my surroundings, my peripheral vision sees hints of black and white, and people do ask why I have it set that way. I can’t really respond to messages like “do you like the color of this or that?” or “what do you think of this?” and in those cases I have to disable grayscale for a moment to see the color of whatever it happened to be. Grayscale also makes my iPhone feel like an old early 2000’s iPod before they had color, as if it’s the modern iOS running on an old iPod somehow or as if it were one of those kindle e-books without color running iOS. It’s interesting how this challenge has been, I won’t always have grayscale on but it’s gone better than I thought so far. If anyone dares to take the challenge, let me know!
