It's square is (10A+B)^2 = [100A^2 + B^2] + (2AB)10. Square each digit and write them side by side to get the first term. Then add (or subtract) twice of the product of the digits after left shift by 1 digit. Example: 47^2 = 16 49 + ... = [164+56]9 = 2209. With some practice with a few 2 digit numbers, you can do 2 digit number squares very quickly in your mind.

Well if I know the square of 23 or 14 than maybe know of the other numbers below 100. Than I not need this trick. There are other shortcuts for square numbers on youtube which are easier. Anyway thank you for the video there were many nice tricks in it.
