I was astonished to learn how many Indians were in medical colleges in Ukraine when the war broke out - because there are so few places available in India. At the time I seem to remember the govt. pledging to increase medical college places in India, but clearly the situation is only worsening.
It isn't just about that number of seats available. A prime example is AIIMS Madurai. Or any of the newer AIIMS for that matter Medical colleges require a lot of infrastructure to go along with them. Simply opening new colleges without proper facilities is useless.
Examination papers (government college entrances and central government Group B & C jobs)are being leaked for the past many years in and around Delhi...this is a norm! Leaked Papers are sold for 20-50 lac depending on the post/ exam
In 2022, when the NEET was first extended to 3:20min, the centre at which my daughter wrote the exam interrupted the exam several times for about 45 minutes and then refused to allow students to write beyond 3hrs, thus stopping the exam at 5pm. Complaints to the NTA went unresolved. NTA needs to correct their system as now over 20lakh student families are going through absolute distress financing studies and bearing the stress of these exams.
I'm a doctor myself who cleared my NEET in 2018. I agree with most parts in the video regarding how NEET has become too toxic and how getting a good rank gets really difficult for the new batches. One thing I don't agree with in this video is regarding the increase in number of medical colleges/ AIIMS in India. In the past 6 years, the number of medical colleges have increased drastically (almost doubled) including the number of AIIMS which I still remember were only 7 during my UG and has risen to 19 currently functional and 25 to be completed by the year 2025. The problem is the rise in the number of students taking the exam. My batch had around 11 lakh students competing which has clearly doubled in 6 years now.. too scary. The govt should put a cap on the number of drops one can take in NEET/ raise the minimum requirements for appearing the exam because no matter how many medical colleges you make, it'll never be able to keep up with the rise in number of students.
I am a 2024 neet aspirant who scored 670. If neet was discontinued and again students were being tested based on state board exams, it would be the worst thing to happen. MBBS is a course where you need many skills which can’t be tested using state board exams. State board exams are VERY easy and can be passed just by mugging up. Whereas neet is an exam where you need to understand, you have to manage time, it’s not based on mugging up and it’s an exam which tests the qualities required for a doctor. Because of neet even the poorest and students who have studied in government schools can become doctors and not just those with money. This is coming from a neet 2024 aspirant. Yes what this happened this year was unfortunate but the solution is RE-NEET and to conduct neet with a little more integrity in the future. It’s easy to score in state board exams as compared to neet, which actually shows if you can be a doctor or not, neet is far easier than mbbs, students who can’t clear neet how can they clear mbbs ? PS- the exam is SUPPOSED to be hard. It’s a course which SAVES the life of thousands, not a simple course.

No one is against the NEET exam being hard. It's the trends and the controversies that have surrounded this year's NEET Exam. Trends dont deviate so much YoY - 50K difference in Marks vs Rank from this year to last year. Students scoring full marks 2-3 in previous years increased to 67+ (7 from the same centre - do you even know how improbable it is). And all the paper leak controversies - there are videos of paper on 4 May while the exam was on 5th. As you said Reneet is the solution and probably to have 2 attempts per year like JEE Mains

And the new medical colleges are very poor standard- no patients, no teachers, false faculty etc.Its like pilot getting trained without even seeing a plane.Everyone wants to join IITS - So are the seats or IITS increased.Everyone wants to fo IAS and IPS - Are the seats increased? There have been paper leaks in medical under grad and post grad entrance exams since 2007. The pride of India , it's medical education and it's health care system has been systematically decimated by Ill-founded ideas of bureaucrats, apathy of politicians and lack of public awareness about how quality health care comes with a cost. Government in a bid to produce large number of doctors has given permission to private medical colleges without quality control. These private medical colleges are giving admissions to students who are largely disinterested in the medical field and grossly incapable of maintaining the standards of health education ,they are funded by rich parents. Sorry not some, many of them doesn't know what's the Fullform of NEET is😢. It's just an eligibility test, but we made it as a Himalayan serious matter because of our negligence and irresponsibility, inability both from our government and we public. No changes can be attained, cause our governing authorities have seen these exams as the money making machines for them. MBBS is just a basic couse in medical profession which we can know the structure and function of the body. Unless you go beyond a master degree in it, its difficult to treat a patient effectively. Majority of parents have taken these courses as for only public immage, and so politicians have taken this matter as money making subject. Inefficient government and foolish thoughts never can bring a change.
there aren't enough medical colleges is the real issue - that's it. Plus NTA messed up (understatement). Don't make this a language and caste issue. The NTA head (IAS officer) needs to be fired immediately. I am surprised they still haven't done so. And why should lakhs of students who studied for 2 years and gave an exam honestly suffer through another grinding exam again? You can keep playing with students lives and still your IAS seat is nice and cosy is it? I don't agree at all with your comments on language, rural etc - totally misleading. The same TN state sends masses of folks to the US as employees of IT companies after 4 years of undergraduate studies. Indians know how to study STEM subjects thank you. Increase medical seats or provide quality college education seats in related areas (biomedical robotics, microbiology, research on viruses, climate change, the list is endless here) which helps students and their parents see a clear path to an income generating career. We also need quality phephologists btw given recent performance 😂
Dear Faye, I have always respected your Journalism but I wish you had done your research before your social media comment indirectly supporting Kangana. We should not and must not condone any act of violence but as a journalist you were supposed to share the other side (fact) of the incident rather than a one sided view. Thanks for your videos but with a heavy heart my (viewership) journey with your channel has come to an end. All the best for your future endeavors.
NTA has messed it all up ! Think of it, there will be a lot of stress on the students to write the exam all over again if the courts order to do so, but you can't let go of the gross injustice in the already announced results too. This is very sad. Those responsible for all this mess should be brought to book.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity
there aren't enough medical colleges is the real issue - that's it.

Not even done proper research , what she is foing is reciting what all others a saying.
Hi Faye I’m thinking you need to upgrade your audio system. There seems to be some kind of distortion. It’s not easy on the hearing. Thanks

Dear Faye, I have always respected your Journalism but I wish you had done your research before your social media comment indirectly supporting Kangana. We should not and must not condone any act of violence but as a journalist you were supposed to share the other side (fact) of the incident rather than a one sided view. When you hold the pen which is mightier than the sword, you should not respond as a mere spectator.
