If MCA wasnt an awful record label he may have had a good run there at the end of the 80's. He's so talented he could kind of do anything but another Jones/Taylor album in 1988 or 89 would have been very welcome to me.
The mash up of Careless Memories and I Might Lie actually makes a lot of sense... they both prominently use Em-C-D in key parts of the song (or something along those lines).
Still has all the singing and playing chops. Thunder was one of my favorite records when I was in high school. I played in a cover band and we did 2 or 3 of the songs. Such great memories. Would love to see him play here in the states. Andy, if you come across the pond I will set up you with some new sneaks. :)
Always dumbfounded me, you have a cash cow like Duran Duran and you walk away for a solo career??? I’d would have had both!! Make a Power Station album every few years then go back to the cash machine that’s Duran. Maybe the music isn’t your taste but it would have given you FU money to do different projects!!
Glamnesia Nouveaux it was an amazing atmosphere, welcoming him back to the North East of England. And we raised £16,000 for charity. Non of us took any payment for the gig.
