Makima is truly a great character and assurely one of my favorites, I genuinely adore her as an antagonist, but also as an awkwardly perfect women who couldn't get out of her superiority status, to just receive hugs at least
That's why Kishibe sent Nayuta to live with Denji. He loved Makima unlike anyone else, where everyone else loved Makima because they couldn't help it because of her power of control, Denji/Chainsaw Man loved her because he thought she was kind to him when no one else was. She may have been evil in her methods but Denji's feelings were real regardless. If he can do that with the Control Devil, then he is best qualified to raise the reincarnated Nayuta so that she doesn't turn into Makima because he'll love her intensely but in a different way to what he felt for Makima. This time, he'll give the Control Devil an equal, or rather a family.
Sad, insane, lonely, beautiful, manipulative, cunning. Beautifully horrific. This playlist captures everything I love about her. Makima will forever remain one of my favourite antagonists. The build up to her reveal was amazing, and, In my opinion, she is one of the most morally grey characters that I’ve ever seen.
At one side she's caring and loving, at other side psychopathic and cruel. Desire of improving things through a big sacrifice. And all alongside the metaphor of the price of parental love that is Domination and Control
Damn, I can't believe Igorrr traded half his lifespan to contract with the Future Devil. Problème Démotion fits Makima so well it's scary. Calm, elegant, but ominous. Mesmerizing, but just a little bit off. Then the vocals kick in and you can really feel the darkness, especially with that shuddering breath at 1:25. Things start to ramp up in intensity, the distortions come in like warning sirens. Afterwards, we fall into a moment of calm with the violin... then the chainsaw starts revving up.
Sill don't know how tf she managed to kill Quanxi; like was she too fast or was it one of her abilities?? Quanxi was already broken af by speedblitzing basically everyone, but now makima comes along and Quanxi just forfeits. Scary shit.

I always thought that it was her broken ass ability and plethora of devil powers to draw from that made her broken, but maybe she has some sort of contract with the speed devil or some shit lol. I still think it was some sort of ability that killed quanxi, not her actual speed but I could be wrong lol.

Now this is what I call an epic gamer moment. Igorrr definitely hits different, found them back when warframe was new on Xbox one, now they show up in a chainsaw man playlist. Very nice, adding this to the train ride playlist for sure.

This playlist is incredibly fitting, it really captures her essence. Powerful, twisted and controlling all while at the same time showing us her insanity. Starts of composed and slowly becomes more demented as it goes on, this is great! 👍
Listening to this selection, I think some of Son Lux's music could fit Makima quite well too. Their music, tracks like Last Light, Delivery and Undertow have the same sort eerie, dissonant quality.
i know another comment already said it, but im IMMENSLY glad that this playlist alongside ur denji one didnt have a buncha mother mother/tally hall/lemon demon songs (not that those artists are bad, its just that they can be very repetitive and not every song by those groups are gonna fit every fictional character ever. also ur music taste is kinda white) !! @@uknowncat-vj5 from what ive noticed, a lot of ppl who listen to the artists ive mentioned tend to listen to Just white artists when it'd be cool to listen to artists of color as well,, a lot of artists of color arent as popular as their white counterparts, and even when they are, ppl still choose to hype up white artists more. again, its fine to like mother mother + the other artists ive mentioned, i like them too!! but i think ppl should broaden their horizons and that should apply to finding artists who arent white/cishet/etc

One thing also with Makima (I could be wrong) but you never know what she's thinking, there's no internal monologue with her. It's either she says something or says nothing and you just gotta interpret it however you can. I love this character man. Her appearance in the anime is the whole reason i got into the manga, And thereafter got into reading manga in general.
Spoilers Ahead!!! I have been listening to this mix for months, without having Read CSM. Having just finished it, I can say that not only does this truly capture the horror that is Makima, but she might truly be one of the most terrifying Villains in all of Fiction. Nearly immortal, manipulation incarnate, an amoral Sociopath, and overpowered as heck but not truly evil in a normal sense of the world.
