I like to see Coach White will call the game of 2.2.2025 between Iowa and Juju USC game and speak about CC at her jersey retirement party.... that is so awesome view to see.
Chemistry and respect is everything We have seen in the 2024 season what happens to teams when they don’t have chemistry and respect for one another. 🌺❤
White has always wanted to coach Clark and i believe Clark wanted White as her coach once she got to the WNBA. They r so similiar. First #22 White to the #22 Clark. Im excited!!
White also brought key staff with her from Connecticut, her player development coach, *Keith Porter,* and assistant coach, *Austin Kelly,* husband to the existing Fever assistant coach, *Karima Christmas-Kelly.* Fever's going to gel like the Partridge Family.
Christie Sides had issues with Caitlin’s game before the draft. Sides saw Caitlin as unstructured and undisciplined. Sides was determined to keep Aliyah Boston as the focal point of the offense and force CC into becoming a more “traditional” point guard. The Pick and Roll was a large part of Sides offense and Clark would get her points from AB passing back out of the paint. The problem was, this was too slow for CC and AB came into the season badly out of shape and unable to pass out of the paint effectively. Sides downfall was her inability to understand and accept CC’s unique talents and build an offense around those talents. I also feel like Sides held a strange jealousy of CC and it wasn’t until her job was at stake that she released the reins after the Olympic break.
In my most charitable moments, I have sympathy for Sides. CC is too big for most coaches and CC was way too big for Sides strategy of slow integration. It was CC that made the second half of the season what it was.
@ very well put. Sides really was her own worst enemy. The most charitable thing I can say about Sides was that she would draw up some nice plays out of bounds.
@@youtubesean I do hope she finds another gig and she gets another shot at being a successful coach in the W, honestly. I don't think CC was the first, but certainly she came to the W with a "nation" of fans in tow that brought a high volume of noise to the conversation about a singular player often, mistakenly, ignorant about what is different about that league compared to the NCAA in general and Iowa in particular. Bluder was smart enough to recognize that coaching CC was going to be very atypical and adjusted to the unique moment. Bluder retired after CC left and I'm sure for all the normal reasons that a coach would, but in my heart of hearts I have to wonder if she was taken on a ride of a lifetime for a coach, pulled into a vortex she didn't expect and when it was over she didn't think it would ever be the same again. Now that the WNBA is thrust into a sudden upshot of popularity it's getting used to having clashes between the fan entourage of their high profile players (legacy fans vs. CC fans vs. Reese fans vs. Aja fans, etc) and we'll see new players come in with fans in tow that would love to see how they fare against the "new guard" (Beuckers and JuJu, for sure...)
@@youtubesean And I would add that she did a good job of developing team chemistry. The exercises Sides emplemented brought the players closer together, and brought a sense of humor and fun to the team. They were a much better team after those exercises, and started playing for each other. Of course, she also freed up CC to play her own game, and the other players started to expect the dimes from CC. And the rest is history. My guess is they will start a little better than 1 and 8 this year.
Another good commenting from you on what’s being prepared for/with CC for 2025. Layer upon layer, we see a clearer picture develop. Rachel Damita had a very good take on some segments of CC’s workout vid yesterday. I hope we’ll soon see more of the other offensive players training with CC. We need to see this team jell together under Coach White’s wand.
The WNBA never has a player like Caitlin Clark, so they can't compare any player(s) to her, all Caitlin Clark did was let plays do the talking for her, 62 rookie/WNBA records. Now there are people trying to compare college players to Caitlin Clark(it's laughable), and some think that there are college player(s) better than Caitlin Clark. All I said is this, Caitlin Clark owns 62 rookie/WNBA records as a rookie, let's see if the future rookie class can break her records.
I still remember when Sides would yank on CC's wrist at timeouts cuz it looked like Cait was trying to avoid her. Total clash of personalities and basketball IQ.
Just adore Hannah and wish her all the success in the world. For Hannah’s sake, I had almost hoped CC would stay in Iowa one more year. But Catlin was definitely ready to move to the next phase. I'm enjoying every minute of watching these young ladies grow their craft. 👵🏻🩷⛹️🏼♀️🏀
Phil Jackson didn't affirm everything about his players. This is ridiculous at this point. It's not necessary that star players and coaches be chums to accomplish championship pursuits.
Coach Bluder let Caitlin be Caitlin while teaching her how to be a team player and leader.
Bluder did a fantastic job,,along with CC 22, parents
So happy for CC and Coach White to work together. Can't wait to watch Fever in 25.
CC and Stephanie White, simpatico💯
Never thought Sides came close to matching Caitlin's basketball IQ. Stephanie White is a whole other story. Should be fun to watch.

I hated seeing Sides grabbing her. I am so very glad the Fever owner stepped up and improved the situation up and down the franchise.
Yes,, I'd tell my boy friend,,look at her grab her arm cc's oh man i was so pissed
Oowwwwww! That Dad joke burned! 🤣
Chemistry and respect is everything We have seen in the 2024 season what happens to teams when they don’t have chemistry and respect for one another. 🌺❤
Yes! That's a huge part of what made the recent Hawkeye teams so great to watch!
White has always wanted to coach Clark and i believe Clark wanted White as her coach once she got to the WNBA. They r so similiar. First #22 White to the #22 Clark. Im excited!!
And #22 Swoopes can go pound sand
Loving this player coaching

Love your final comment! Many a true word is spoken in jest😂

Thank God that ended with Sides,,she would have ruined CC 22,,like geno ruining Paige
Love that parting comment 😅

Bluder's coaching spanned nearly 1,800 games.
Sides was a first year HC and while I was not a hater that wanted her gone for anyone, I would support it for someone better. This is better.
Bluder is a mom to Stuelke.

I can't wait until Ashlyn Watkins, SC , goes to the WNBA so she can slam dunk on Clark like she slam dunked on Prince, TCU.😂😂😂😂😂😂That was wild 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
For how much white got her team to beat on cc for a whole season, I’d say they’re blood sisters.
I thought the Suns did a good job keeping CC off her game. I didn't like the physicality but the defense was effective.
Phil Jackson didn't affirm everything about his players. This is ridiculous at this point. It's not necessary that star players and coaches be chums to accomplish championship pursuits.
If sides wasn't the coach,, CC 22 1st half would have been different
8 page report on how to stop CC….now that CC has seen that….bet CC first question was….How do I beat this scouting report? Bring on latest video.
Christie Sides's Wnba career is over
