They fit so much more snuggly to your feet after, like you say maybe a little less of the shank cut so you still get good support. Your shoes look great, like they really suit you well and no extra bagging material. Though I would still love to see a collab with you and Josephine from The Pointe Shop.

I used to 3/4 my 2007s to help make it last longer. (I have low arches and stress the shank really low, so it helped prolong the time before it would knuckle) It was a lot harder to cut though, I used a knife. I've been in Dreampointe 2007 since they came out which solved the problem of the shank breaking low and dying quickly. Now I just lower the arch break a little bit manually by bending it a lot, sometimes it kinda cracks a little bit, but that's OK for me because I really don't need any support that high since my foot structure doesn't have the ability to go too far over the platform.
I’m definitely going to do this in the future, because my arches are almost the same as your. But all I know that free class for breaking in point shoes

Ok so this might sound weird but I completely take the whole shank out and basically dance on just the box. Im basically dancing in a demi pointe shoe bit sometimes I put the shank back in depending on what I need.
I 3/4 but I suggest when you first start doing it start sparingly. Simply because that’s most people’s support system

How can you be a professional ballet dancer and not dance for over a month?? I know the ballet season is over, but you have to stay in shape and keep up with your technique! I thought the same thing when you first joined the company as a trainee, and you said you hadn’t danced all summer. That’s not going to get you a career.
Because i dont have anywhere to dance at right now ahahha and im also in the process of big life changes so taking ballet classes is on the back burner. My next season starts in october so i will have time to get in shape :)
