God, I wish Eden Espinosa could play Elphaba (Fae) in the movie. She is utterly phenomenal and everytime I watch her sing 'No Good Deed,' I get chills down my spine. I don't know what it is about her perfermance as Elphaba that resinaded with me but I will tell you, it's the amount of passion and vulnerability and anger and confusion that truly.....TRULY makes this character come alive. So yeah, I WANT her to play Fae in the movie. For me, Eden is Elphaba and Elphaba is in Eden!
Eden HAS to play Movie!Elphaba, she's not only one of the best singers, but her Elphie really does look like a teenage-version of Maraget Hamilton's witch, & she's given one of the most sincere performances of the character. For Glinda I'd choose Annaleigh Ashford, b/c she's the youngest-looking, prettiest, sweetest & cutest one I've seen, & she, like Eden, gives a sincere performance, like she really believes in the role. :)

Tracie and Eden have such off the chart chemistry that I think everyone finds seeing them performing together at least a tiny bit hot -- impromptu smooches or not ;)
Dee is too old to play Elphaba in the movie and so is Eden so I don't understand the argument here... Anyways, Eden has such a nice speaking voice to go along with her singing voice. And her hair is beautiful!

It does,I attempted to be Elphie for halloween last year and ended up looking dark green and removed the green from my face,but not my neck and chest and ears,I even found some still in my ear after showering....I still am attempting to be Elphie again.
I freaking love me my eden **sigh**... just the thought of her as another fruit fly makes me smile so much!! I love my Pauly though too ***completely hetero smooch*** I love how pauly tried to get her to admit there's gonna be a rent enactment with tracy LOL like he finds 2 women making out hot ?? LOL hahahah love you man!!!
Eden was very good... None compare to Nicole Parker though.. I work backstage and she was the best.. So sweet and super funny (especially since i was an UBER MADTV freak)
@floritka85 o well why it is still at the theatre i will still spend moeny and pay to see it but it would be good to be filmed on stage like rent was , just as an extra peice of merchandise
I DONT want a wicked movie, it would ruin the magic you get from the stage version. I think it would be ruined by miscasting and bad cg and too pop-ified

I haven't seen Eden as Maureen and I love both Eden and Idina. I like Eden better as Elphaba and Idina better as Maureen :) They are both wonderful!
Yeah she is... Teal is really good too.. She kinda reminds me of Eden in a way..lol.

no. She was in rent as maureen and maureen is a lesbian. Tracie Thoms plays Eden's "girlfriend" in rent, so she is gonna guest star on this show
