twisted sprout is TERRIFYING TO ME. the bone crunching noises and weird breathing things have to be straight out of an analog horror, along with the see-ing noise. Probably the scariest twisted in the game to me. Feels like a boss. EDIT: Did not expect this comment to slightly blow up. To clear up a few things, i will probably get used to him spawning in a bit. Obviously if something happens so many times it just isnt scary. Also yes i know he isnt that difficult, ive semi-distracted him before and distracted all of the other mains. The only issue with Cosmo is players WHO STEAL ALL OF THE HEALING ITEMS DESPITE NOT NEEDING THEM (I've had so many people grab meds and then act like they needed them when they were full on hearts) it's genuinely so irritating how people can't realize Cosmo needs the healing items not these greedy players
reminds me of that time where a Rodger stole all of my Medkits while i was playing Cosmo, and played it off as if they never picked it up, blaming a person i had thought stole them, what a douche. (i literally had 1 heart from Floor 6 to Floor 14)
Twisted Finn’s debuff is extremely overkill and I’m desperately trying to convince the mods and devs that lowering the strength is a good idea. I’m Snail, one of the testers for BlushCrunch; me and the other testers weren’t called for playtesting this time, had that been I would’ve raised the concern before release. In my opinion, a regular enemy punishing players for contributing to the game’s main objective shouldn’t have even been implemented. The only other twisted that does that is Dandy, and he’s a lethal boss you have to deliberately summon. While it is true twisted Finn encourages players to be mindful of their surroundings, sometimes risky machine completion is unavoidable, especially in situations with lots of twisteds and/or lack of distractor players.
Imo, it should be debuff slow 2 instead of 3. Toons like Vee and Rodger will have difficulty getting away from twisteds for the 5 seconds it's in effect, making them incedibly vulnerable.
Finn’s debuff is EXTREMELY OVERKILL, as Pebble I didn’t know there was a Finn in a round (I was using dog plush+speedy shoes) and a boxten was onto me so I thought I could get away with a quick veemote and outrun him, and then Slow (III) came which made it so I couldn’t even outrun boxten (it took a while, I almost lasted it) but it kinda shows how crippling it is as an ability.
I used it as an example of how crippling it is, since atleast with other characters that use slow (Vee and Rodger) this one just ruins the game (as stated by the comment) where just by doing the floor you’re being punished. Rodger has a small line of sight and is a stationary trap that only affects the player opening the capsule, Vee has breaks and only applies Slow (II) and only affects the player she’s chasing
fun fact : some toons are light producing like astro, vee and brightney. Means this toon will shine with a different color (except brightney i think) in blackout + more light radius in blackout. You will know if its a light producing toon if it has a lightbulb icon near the toon icon in stats
I’d recommend if glisten appears on your floor and someone claims him, tell your teammates to MAKE SURE to say g2e or gte (whatever you prefer) that floor, it’s a great strategy and I use it whenever glisten appears
17:48, i disagree, air horns can be used by non distractors that have in the bare minimun two stars of speed. An example would be, imagine there are two toons, one has one remaining heart, the other has all three. If the twisteds threaten the one hearted player, the other can easily save their teammate... That situation seems kind of rare but there were multiple times where i saved or got saved by someone using air horn.
Yesterday, there was actually an odd encounter with poppy appearing on the twisted board, resulting in the servers being shut down for a brief moment to swap her out for teagan. I'm unsure if commons are actually supposed to appear on the board, or as the video says, they are not supposed to. It could be a bug 🧐
One thing that isnt mentioned: Sprout and Flutter's only stat difference is that Sprout has 1 more star in stamina, but 2 hearts, if you're playing Sprout for his stats and not his ability ( maybe solo? ) i'd recommend using flutter for the extra heart and her ability. Finn is kinda in a same situation; as mentioned, finn and shelly's stats are almost the same, except for the fact that shelly has 1 more star in skillcheck, but finn's passive is shelly's passive but better, however, he cannot support other toons, this means that finn is kind of like a solo-ified shelly, and flutter is a solo-ified Sprout
Imo, savory charm is GREAT for Pebble, especially if you're having difficulties communicating with your team on where to go, or trying to take with bark on cooldown. The only real issue would be not being much help to the team.
Not-so-Fun Fact: The Chocolate Bar and the Box of Chocolates have had an inaccurate description since its public Alpha release, saying that it increased Walk Speed when it should've said Run Speed. The issue was maintained within videos such as this, and even the Dandy's World Wiki at one point. The error is visible from comparing the Run Speeds before and after either items' use in practice or in the Stats Screen during gameplay. This issuee was seemingly corrected in the same update that removed Common Twisteds from the Daily Twisteds Board.
Nevermind I'd like to issue a correction, the Chocolate Bar's description is accurate to its effect, I just assumed that it was false because of the contradiction of boosting Walk Speed exclusively. Also, the Box of Chocolates only ever had the initial description have Run Speed, which is differant from the Bar, for unknown reasons.
I personally use Sprout with Dandy plush as i buy from dandys shop quite often with the new update, it really helps me get heals and still heal people, though this may not be the best strategy, i still think its a lot of fun

Something not mentioned in the vid: Sprout's ability costs get more expensive by 50 tapes for each sprout in the run ( 1 sprout = 100 tapes / 2= 150 tapes ect. )
Off topic, but something i found out with Smoke Bomb is, Twisted Dandy is completely immune to it, he will continute to beeline straight towards you (i found out the hard way)
another thing to mention about sprouts ability is that the more sprouts in the round the more expensive the ability costs. the ability also has a global cooldown of 15 seconds when using it. what i know so far is one sprout is 100 tapes, the normal. but a second sprout is 150 tapes. so having multiple sprouts is not as good as it seems 😔 im guessing it increases by 50 each sprout so i think ppl should limit sprout to two because 200 tapes might be to much even if its 3 players withs sprout.
The fact that blushy bat is the easiest trinket to get makes it even more better! And ALSO smoke bomb is no longer an dandys shop exclusive btw (i found it on the floor 2 floors in a row)

Finally someone who doesn't say sprout is bad or smt😭😭 I personally love his design and abilities! I think he can be very useful at times For example: no first aid cards and dandy just being greedy and not giving heals- then A sprout can be very helpful I also think he would be a great distractor with his high movement speed and his passive is very useful in case you have teammates with low stealth! I think he is a very good addition to the game!! :D
7:34 participation award and magnifying glass SHOULD NOT be used on glisten the issue isnt the tiny skillcheck bar but the fact that low skill check stat characters dont benefit from skill check trinkets, you should use blue bandana and machine manual on toons with higher extraction speed than skill check.
I actually quite like savory charm. The ability isn’t great on most toons but on mains, especially sprout and pebble, it can help get some insurance that they won’t die while they look for heals.
I recommend fancy purse with sprout, as it allows early game heals if required. Examples very to mains being one heart by another toon, or trying to keep a Cosmo alive. It's a great pick for sprout, considering he isn't the best for extraction. Edit: I have also figured dandy plush is also useful, as the saved tapes form the shop can be very useful. But it kinda depends on weather or no you're doing a dandy run or just not buying due to the bad quality of items on sale. Def a #2 for sprout.
Imo the best build for sprout definitely has fancy purse in it depending on your role you’re playing you can use something like veemote and purse or dog plush and purse making him a great pick
17:07 this item litteraly saved me a run, because of good rng of course, one i was a rodger and a shelly was chasing me my stamina was completely gone i was panicking since i was on 1 hp and panic mode starts... Making shelly even faster.... Then i panicked and pressed 3 and ENIGMA CANDY gave me movement speed boost and i survived, enigma candy my beloved ❤️
I dont own sprouts trinket. But as a db2 player hes trinket is actually op. If you think about it It may be 1 use. But that 1 use can do plenty of amazing things You can do a machine safely Even if you are surrounded (Reminder: You have to keep track on the seconds) You can be literal bait, For 10s This is useful as if you or your team is in a tricky situation. You can stall the twisted out (Reminder: This isnt really a good plan, but this is supposed to counter Op twisted as your teammates can do the machines while you have your immunity, Tho you need low stealth for it to work properly, also keep track of the time ofc) S h r i m p o You cannot kill THY GOD Its also good for cosmo, As cosmos gimmick is he needs HP to heal others, so not losing hp is amazing, And you can be bait It may be mid, but its good if you know how to use it correctly
As a Glisten main, I like using the Blushy Bat due to how easily Glisten can run out of stamina. It has saved my life multiple times and personally would recommend it to people who use either slow moving toons like Rodger or Vee, or toons that run out of stamina quickly :]
Idea: Poppy but actually useful. Equip Poppy's bow and blushy bat. Grab anything that speeds you up like Box o' chocolates and stuff like that, literally maximum distance once Poppy gets hit and she can use the items as well. I think this could also work on Finn?
while enigma candy IS very rng reliable, the 50% boosts are UNBELIEVABLY POWERFUL. this item is definitely the most useful for vee, as you have a 2 in 5 to get a massive machine boost, and the rest are basically just survivability
savory charm is actually fun and cool in my opinion. i think i would rank it a high B tier or a low A tier. i feel like its for toons that have a well rounded stat like teagan or brightney. its also nice with vee because of the low speed and 2 stealth. it works really well with cosmo because you can heal people while you were at 2 hearts and no medkit without worrying that youre gonna die. until the charm is inactive ofc
i like to say “uranium makes me faster” when im at the other side of the map with a slow toon like rodger or vee and then dash across the map in 10 seconds with box of chocolates
Forever thankful to the random people I played with for a match that taught me things as I went because I was immediately shocked by the amount of new content.
fun fact!: The "The daily board cannot be commons" was added AFTER launch as a "bug patch" The board was hyped up one day but changed from Pebble to POPPY. EVERYONE got pissed off, and the devs had to manually edit the game to not add twisteds (and also changed the twisted to Rodger for the day) The discord labels this as "National Poppy Day" as a joke
16:17 I kinda have a idea for items. Throwable things! Like chairs It will stun a twisted for 10 seconds if it chases you. + It probally good for getting in the elevator if you get chased But it doenst stun twisted dandy or twisted sprout And twisted pebble.
I honestly really like this update and have some really great opinions on this and someone who plays this game a little too much I think I can shed light on some of the items, just recognize this is my opinion and you may have different opinions, just don't be aggressive. (Note this is gunna be a long rant, I find myself typing long comments lol) Toons: Finn I think is kinda mid, he can still be great but is just shelly before you get shelly. No real thoughts on him but he's good for new players. Cosmo: Def a character that might see a lot of play, espec for more supportive players. Cosmo will be a really good character in private/communicated lobbies but in public people just steal the healing items and yell at you for not healing them (they have taken damage every floor). My only problem with Cosmo is their extraction speed/skill check but it's more of a personal problem (and I bug I keep encountering) Glisten: Is a game changer in most situations, with Vee's remote or a extraction based item glisten can very quickly take out dangerous machines and get out even if theirs a twisted finn on the map. The confusion part of Glisten's tp is nearly useless as most of the time you teleport to escape danger and not to start a machine Sprout: While I haven't gotten to play em he's Definity going to be staple as a distractor with a really good ability, His only problem is extraction and the fact his passive doesn't show who it is just where they are so you have to make some educated guesses about if its a low or high stealth character your distracting by. JUST NOTE!!!!!! I've seen in both the tip menu and the discord server that Sprouts ability cooldown and cost go up if there is multiple sprouts in a lobby so Sprout is def not a character that should be seen more than once or twice in a lobby. Twisted's: Finn is not a bad twisted just an annoying one but doesn't really pose an impact other than impacting Vee remote users and people completing things at the back of the map when panic mode triggers. He's a lot less worrying when people actually prime machines but public lobbies are public lobbies. Sprout is one of the best MC's to roll doing to being slow and loud enough to know his location at nearly all times. Spikes can be annoying but as long as your looking out/not a blackout and you have some space to weasel around hes not bad, and he doesn't even apply a status effect (to my knowledge) making him not as dangerous with other MC's as something like a Vee Astro combo. (He's also just really cool and I'm so stealing that scarf tail design for one of my oc's.) Glisten: Nothing you haven't already mentioned, might be annoying in higher floors or if multiple glisten's spawn but manageable. Trinkets: Most are kinda mid but I want to highlight Sprout and Glisten's trinket. Glisten's trinket while a boost to an already low stat might not be good it can Definity be a life saver for some characters. On Razzle/odd floors you become a race car and combined with Ribbon spool during Dazzle/Even floors can let Dazzle do the final machine if it wasn't primed and can be really good as it let's Dazzle get to the elevator with much less of a risk. While mirror won't be seen on every character some character's can put it to good use. It just depends on the player and if they want a lesser but consistent boost or a more volatile boost during a very time tight moment. Sprout's trinket is much more of a player to player choice but can be useful in some moments. First of all it just straight up grant's MC a 3rd heart letting characters like Pebble who are already really good distract for longer with less risk. Also useful for cosmo's who are afraid of being at 1hp. It's something that probably won't be worth picking but could have a purpose for some characters. I know this was kinda a long rant but I can't help it... (oops)
Twisted glisten Actualy made me sad when I first saw him because when somone explained how his mechanic worked, like HE JUST NEEDS A FRIEND and he also Talks, he TALKS, he mourns and it just makes me sad
tbf i find the enigma candy to be better then the stealth candy as yes its a gamble for the enigma candy but 50% extra speed or stam regen can be useful rather then some extra stealth
I think a tip for getting sprout would be use tisha with dog plush and speedy shoes she is really quick and her ablity would make it easy to out run sprout when aggroing and getting sprouts reserch capsules
I want to share something very important and it's that the co-owner is a groomer (you can look up something like Dandy's world co-owner drama on google) and it's pretty sad to me tbh like the game is good but the people who did it are bad and now I don't know if I want to support the game anymore... Having multiple people playing as sprout on a team is not great as the healing cost increases by 50 tapes for each sprout and if one sprout has used their healing the others can't heal for 30 seconds.
So once i had a goob he pulled one of my teamets out when they were 4 secs left luckily our teamet had fast reaction and came back in elevator then goob left im glad they made the change

I am not sure if they have intentions to add more toons after this one and just pumping in skins and rare floors seems a bit lackluster to me. Also was really hoping glisten were to give a trinket that removes some stealth, didn't expect the 30% panic speed and it doesn't seem to fit his playstyle either
I have a story that happened to me last night that i want to tell So i was doing a solo run because i wanted to encounter twisted glisten and i was doing good dandy gave me 2 medkits i had 300 or more tapes i got a bandage to anc on floor nine i got shelly and vee on the same floor i just wanted to tell you that

One time when i said in a run "*does twisted Sprout spell to summon twisted Sprout"* then it gave me a blackout, when i said it again we got a twisted Shelly, when i said it again we got a twisted Astro😭😭😭
In my preference I play finn instead of Shelly the only reason is because Shelly has 2 hearts and Finn has three I personally like three hearts because Shelly with one hit it could be all over however this is my preference so for most people the hearts on mains aren’t problems but it is for me personally

I think he can be very useful at times
For example: no first aid cards and dandy just being greedy and not giving heals- then A sprout can be very helpful
I also think he would be a great distractor with his high movement speed and his passive is very useful in case you have teammates with low stealth!
I think he is a very good addition to the game!! :D
7:34 participation award and magnifying glass SHOULD NOT be used on glisten the issue isnt the tiny skillcheck bar but the fact that low skill check stat characters dont benefit from skill check trinkets, you should use blue bandana and machine manual on toons with higher extraction speed than skill check.
Yeah only way to use magnifying glass is to use a trinket with it that increases skill check size

I actually quite like savory charm. The ability isn’t great on most toons but on mains, especially sprout and pebble, it can help get some insurance that they won’t die while they look for heals.
I recommend fancy purse with sprout, as it allows early game heals if required. Examples very to mains being one heart by another toon, or trying to keep a Cosmo alive. It's a great pick for sprout, considering he isn't the best for extraction.
Edit: I have also figured dandy plush is also useful, as the saved tapes form the shop can be very useful. But it kinda depends on weather or no you're doing a dandy run or just not buying due to the bad quality of items on sale. Def a #2 for sprout.
Imo the best build for sprout definitely has fancy purse in it depending on your role you’re playing you can use something like veemote and purse or dog plush and purse making him a great pick
17:07 this item litteraly saved me a run, because of good rng of course, one i was a rodger and a shelly was chasing me my stamina was completely gone i was panicking since i was on 1 hp and panic mode starts... Making shelly even faster.... Then i panicked and pressed 3 and ENIGMA CANDY gave me movement speed boost and i survived, enigma candy my beloved ❤️

But as a db2 player hes trinket is actually op. If you think about it
It may be 1 use. But that 1 use can do plenty of amazing things

This is useful as if you or your team is in a tricky situation. You can stall the twisted out
(Reminder: This isnt really a good plan, but this is supposed to counter Op twisted as your teammates can do the machines while you have your immunity, Tho you need low stealth for it to work properly, also keep track of the time ofc)

As a Glisten main, I like using the Blushy Bat due to how easily Glisten can run out of stamina. It has saved my life multiple times and personally would recommend it to people who use either slow moving toons like Rodger or Vee, or toons that run out of stamina quickly :]
Idea: Poppy but actually useful.
Equip Poppy's bow and blushy bat. Grab anything that speeds you up like Box o' chocolates and stuff like that, literally maximum distance once Poppy gets hit and she can use the items as well. I think this could also work on Finn?
while enigma candy IS very rng reliable, the 50% boosts are UNBELIEVABLY POWERFUL. this item is definitely the most useful for vee, as you have a 2 in 5 to get a massive machine boost, and the rest are basically just survivability

savory charm is actually fun and cool in my opinion. i think i would rank it a high B tier or a low A tier. i feel like its for toons that have a well rounded stat like teagan or brightney. its also nice with vee because of the low speed and 2 stealth. it works really well with cosmo because you can heal people while you were at 2 hearts and no medkit without worrying that youre gonna die. until the charm is inactive ofc
If you think of it sprout’s passive can be useful when distracting so you know where to stay away from

The board was hyped up one day but changed from Pebble to POPPY.
EVERYONE got pissed off, and the devs had to manually edit the game to not add twisteds (and also changed the twisted to Rodger for the day)

I honestly really like this update and have some really great opinions on this and someone who plays this game a little too much I think I can shed light on some of the items, just recognize this is my opinion and you may have different opinions, just don't be aggressive. (Note this is gunna be a long rant, I find myself typing long comments lol)
Toons:
Finn I think is kinda mid, he can still be great but is just shelly before you get shelly. No real thoughts on him but he's good for new players.
Cosmo: Def a character that might see a lot of play, espec for more supportive players. Cosmo will be a really good character in private/communicated lobbies but in public people just steal the healing items and yell at you for not healing them (they have taken damage every floor). My only problem with Cosmo is their extraction speed/skill check but it's more of a personal problem (and I bug I keep encountering)
Glisten: Is a game changer in most situations, with Vee's remote or a extraction based item glisten can very quickly take out dangerous machines and get out even if theirs a twisted finn on the map. The confusion part of Glisten's tp is nearly useless as most of the time you teleport to escape danger and not to start a machine
Sprout: While I haven't gotten to play em he's Definity going to be staple as a distractor with a really good ability, His only problem is extraction and the fact his passive doesn't show who it is just where they are so you have to make some educated guesses about if its a low or high stealth character your distracting by. JUST NOTE!!!!!! I've seen in both the tip menu and the discord server that Sprouts ability cooldown and cost go up if there is multiple sprouts in a lobby so Sprout is def not a character that should be seen more than once or twice in a lobby.
Twisted's:
Finn is not a bad twisted just an annoying one but doesn't really pose an impact other than impacting Vee remote users and people completing things at the back of the map when panic mode triggers. He's a lot less worrying when people actually prime machines but public lobbies are public lobbies.
Sprout is one of the best MC's to roll doing to being slow and loud enough to know his location at nearly all times. Spikes can be annoying but as long as your looking out/not a blackout and you have some space to weasel around hes not bad, and he doesn't even apply a status effect (to my knowledge) making him not as dangerous with other MC's as something like a Vee Astro combo. (He's also just really cool and I'm so stealing that scarf tail design for one of my oc's.)
Glisten: Nothing you haven't already mentioned, might be annoying in higher floors or if multiple glisten's spawn but manageable.
Trinkets:
Most are kinda mid but I want to highlight Sprout and Glisten's trinket.
Glisten's trinket while a boost to an already low stat might not be good it can Definity be a life saver for some characters. On Razzle/odd floors you become a race car and combined with Ribbon spool during Dazzle/Even floors can let Dazzle do the final machine if it wasn't primed and can be really good as it let's Dazzle get to the elevator with much less of a risk. While mirror won't be seen on every character some character's can put it to good use. It just depends on the player and if they want a lesser but consistent boost or a more volatile boost during a very time tight moment.
Sprout's trinket is much more of a player to player choice but can be useful in some moments. First of all it just straight up grant's MC a 3rd heart letting characters like Pebble who are already really good distract for longer with less risk. Also useful for cosmo's who are afraid of being at 1hp. It's something that probably won't be worth picking but could have a purpose for some characters.
I know this was kinda a long rant but I can't help it... (oops)
Twisted glisten Actualy made me sad when I first saw him because when somone explained how his mechanic worked, like HE JUST NEEDS A FRIEND and he also Talks, he TALKS, he mourns and it just makes me sad
tbf i find the enigma candy to be better then the stealth candy as yes its a gamble for the enigma candy but 50% extra speed or stam regen can be useful rather then some extra stealth

Having multiple people playing as sprout on a team is not great as the healing cost increases by 50 tapes for each sprout and if one sprout has used their healing the others can't heal for 30 seconds.
Twisted Glisten is gonna be a pain for solo runs...
So once i had a goob he pulled one of my teamets out when they were 4 secs left luckily our teamet had fast reaction and came back in elevator then goob left im glad they made the change

So i was doing a solo run because i wanted to encounter twisted glisten and i was doing good dandy gave me 2 medkits i had 300 or more tapes i got a bandage to anc on floor nine i got shelly and vee on the same floor i just wanted to tell you that
Gelp a useless fun fact: the sprout trinket is op because it gives you a second chance - means 1 hp added this is lucky for mains and toons sincs because its gives 1 hp but idk if it works on any floors tho
Only works one time in a game, so if u got hit down to 0 it will give u a second chance, but u will never ever get a third chance again

One time when i said in a run "*does twisted Sprout spell to summon twisted Sprout"* then it gave me a blackout, when i said it again we got a twisted Shelly, when i said it again we got a twisted Astro😭😭😭
In my preference I play finn instead of Shelly the only reason is because Shelly has 2 hearts and Finn has three I personally like three hearts because Shelly with one hit it could be all over however this is my preference so for most people the hearts on mains aren’t problems but it is for me personally
