You have made a couple of mistakes
    1) In the question, variance is given as 10.24. To find the value, you use Standard Deviation, not the variance. So, you should have taken the square root of 10.24, which is 3.2
    2) Since level of significance is 5%, it is 2.5% on each side as it is a two-tailed hypothesis
Z value would be: (6.2 - 5.4)/(3.2/sqrt(50)). This is coming as 1.77. As per your method, it would have been only 0.55
Since this is 2 tailed hypothesis, we have to look up the Z value for the probability of 97.5% (not 95%) on the right hand side, which is 1.96. If we look up 5% on both sides, it would have been 95% i.e. 1.645, not 1.96
Your answer is correct as you are getting correct pre-calculated values in the background but the methodology is wrong and using your calculations would give different numbers.

1.We never accept the null hypothesis , we either reject null hypothesis or fail to reject null hypothesis.
    2. If it is two tailed test then rejection region should be divided by 2 i.e instead of .05, it should be .025 on both side.

02:29 Hypothesis testing is used in statistical analysis to find out facts or conduct surveys.
04:58 Hypothesis testing involves comparing a null hypothesis with an alternative hypothesis.
07:27 Null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis are mathematical opposites.
09:56 The level of significance determines whether the null hypothesis is accepted or rejected.
12:25 Performing hypothesis testing to determine if a sample is drawn from a normal population
14:54 Understanding hypothesis testing in statistics
17:23 The critical value in hypothesis testing is determined based on the level of significance, such as 5%.

13:45: S.D of the population = UnderRoot(Variance). Since the value 10.24 is the variance, it's underRoot has to be taken and that would be 3.2. Only then the final Z value will be 1.77.

automobile tyre manufacturer claims that the average life of a particular grade of tyre is
more than 20000km when used under normal conditions. A random sample of 16 tyres was
tested and a mean and standard deviation of 22000 Km and 5000 km, respectively were
computed. Assuming the life of the tyres in Km to be approximately normally distributed,
decide whether the manufacturer’s claim is valid. Consider level of Significance is 5%.0

in this question variance is given, so you have to take out standard deviation from the same, instead of 10.24, 3.2 will be came, then the answer is 1.77. please mention this too, otherwise its confusing

Just because the value proposition of your channel is last minute tutorials, doesnt mean you teach like you yourself teach like last minute - in a haphazard way, and wrong. Firstly, variance is given in question. So sigma will be square root of variance. Secondly, it will be 2.5% on each side and 95% will be middle region. Please try and appreciate that people who come here to study for first time, place their faith in you and rely on what you say. You are their teacher. Try and remain calm, have some patience, and teach right. Having said that, salute to your efforts and the service you’re doing. Dont take my criticism negatively. Its just for your and the channel’s betterment
