    Thx for the video. I already replaced the magnetron on this unit 9 months ago, and now I was having the 2 second shutoff. Mine was a bit different, no lights, no fan, no power to the magnetron, but the timer still worked for 2 seconds and shut off. I ended up finding that one of the leads to the thermal cutout was corroded, replaced that fuse and I'm good to go. F61456N60AP was the part that failed me.

    I have found that problem was a bad relay on the main control board. 16 amp relay. I found a few of these to be bad. Used a relay from another trashed 1200 watt microwave. Easy repair control board is easy to remove and 3 or 4 solder joints on the relay.

    It’s the latch mechanism bent and not engaging open it bend it back secure it and you’re good to go

    I fixed mine by insulating the foil pouch from a pop tart and putting it between the control board and the Magnetron . also might work is to get a 6" x 4" piece of Reynolds Wrap Aluminum foil and put it in an zip lock bag and place it behind the control panel.

    I once found a unit,looking brand new with the same problem and as i was inspecting the main board,i discovered that the clown who threw it out deliberately soldered a small resistor to two point on the back of the board.The soldering looked very rough and primitive and after i removed the resistor the unit was working perfectly.

    Inverter driven units like that are garbage.. In a typical microwave, if it keep popping fuses like that it's the HV capacitor that is shorted to ground. I see this A LOT in cheaper tabletop units that use Chinesium HV capacitors. The customer tries to use it to cook things from long periods of time, they overheat and the cap shorts internally before the thermal protection kicks in and the fuse pops or the circuit breaker to the mains socket trips.

      My Panasonic inverter driven microwave has been problem free for 10 years. Its defiantly not as reliable as the 1980's transformer one that my parents had. But I wouldn't call it crap.
      We have commercial transformer microwaves at work and I was always fixing the door switches in them due to those stupid butt connectors not making good contact to the switch. I would have to cut and strip the wire and solder them to the switches to keep them from arcing and getting hot.

    Hi Hameed, when I start my Panasonic NN-L931BF Inverter Microwave, the timer, fan, and rotating turntable and light begin to operate but stop after exactly 5 seconds. The timer resets to start but everything else stops when the Magnetron tries to kick in. Always after 5 secs exactly.
    I checked all the door switches and fuses and all is OK. I'm about to pull out the Magneton
    Do you think this is causing the cook function to reset the oven? It is dated 2001 but I just bought it a year ago. First time this has happened. The magnetron is 2M261-M32, older than the one in your video. I don't believe the fuse is blown as it starts everytime. Do I need to replace the invertor board or the magnetron to fix this problem. Will gladly donate to you for the correct advice....Paul

      @hameedwafaAFG  3 года назад

      Hello Palardo,
      I would say unplug the magnetron and run the microwave again and see if the same thing is happening, if it's not happening you got a bad magnetron, if it's still happening after 5 seconds you have a bad inverter board, ✌️hope it makes sense, otherwise you can always message me on Facebook for more diagnosis,
      Hameed Wafa 😁

      @@hameedwafaAFG Do I just disconnect the two connectors to Magnetron and let them hang. Or must I short the connectors?. If it still happens, (runs 5 seconds and turns off) do I replace the power relay on the invertor board or just replace the entire invertor board.
      A;lso I noticed the top door switch connector has a burn mark on the covering of the connector. The switch itself seems OK but maybe theres some arcing on the connector to that switch?

    • @hameedwafaAFG
      @hameedwafaAFG  3 года назад

      The top switch that has a burnt mark, I would say replace that before doing anything else, because when microwave goes on use it affects the switch internally, make sure to take a picture of the switch with wires, usually one wire goes in common and one wore goes to NC or NO, normally close or normally open. If you make mistake on wiring it would damage the slow blow fuse and possibly cause more problems, after switch replacing, disconnect the 2 wires from magnetron and cover it with a piece of electrical tape and run the microwave while wires are disconnected from magnetron, if you still get the same problem after 5 seconds, replace the entire inverter board, if you don't have problem while the magnetron is disconnected,replace magnetron.
      I would repeat again that first please replace the micro switch that has burnt connector ✌️

      @@hameedwafaAFG I tried to disconnect the Magnetron and ran it again. This time it went past the 5 second mark but turned off at 23 seconds? Does this mean that the magnetron casused the problem . Caused it to turn off after five sesonds .
      Without magnetron turn off occurs at 23 seconds exactly every time.
      You didn't mention what caused the shutoff at 23 seconds. Is this the INvertor relay? Is this supposed to happen when no Magnetron is connected. Please respond. Thanks ....Paul

    • @hameedwafaAFG
      @hameedwafaAFG  3 года назад

      If it turns off after 23 seconds looks we have problem with inverter board, because when magnetron draws over 15 amps it really overheats inverter board and that's why it won't last longer, magnetron being disconnected it still shuts off because now it's not overheating fast enough, %95 it's your inverter board. Honestly if your unit is from 2001 I would not spend money on inverter board.
