Just one way to recycle your 2 liter pop bottles and use them to make beautiful flowers for your scrapbooking or paper crafts =) Blog - littlemissstamp...
Hope you like cold coffee, Little Miss. LOL The coffee cup in your fast forward video remains there for some time so it had to get cold. I LOVE your flowers and thank you so much for making this how-to video!! My grandmother loved making handi-craft projects from old bleach bottles, aluminium cans, etc. "Recycled" wasn't even a word yet back then. haha I learned to always look at things we throw away and try to imagine what could be made from them by watching my grandmother. She would have so been doing this if she were still alive! I pass this video on to my sister because she makes jewelry and other crafts while my eye sight is failing too much to do handi-crafts (until I have 4 eye surgeries). I will definitely make these when I get my eyes fixed! Again, THANK YOU, Little Miss Stamper for sharing with the world!
Great flowers, very pretty too. Just a tip, put a mark on your work surface to show you where you centre/ focus is. This means you can slide everything towards the mark to keep in focus.
Yes absolutely and you are 100% correct. However it does not "melt" the plastic that way. It is not hot enough to produce smoke or fumes. It only heats it slightly...enough to be pliable. With that being said, if you are ever in doubt it is always better to be safe than sorry =)
Very creative. I knew there were some creative uses for these darn bottles. My family drinks soda pop also. I know that it is not the best drink for you body but oh well once in a while wont hurt.Or..will it? Thank you for sharing. As I was watching I grabbed a bottle and started the first part. yay cant wait to finish my first one. TSF ;D
I am going to have to try this. I don't have a heat gun, but I think it would be possible to do the entire thing over a candle. I have made several of the plastic spoon roses with a candle as well, but I love the colors you could do, using the copics. You could even do gradients on the plastic before melting them, would look great as a flower! I'm excited to try this now. XD I don't have copics, but I DO have prisma color markers, I think would work, maybe even the sharpies as well?
that's beautiful recycled flower and very creative idea ! good job . as Boomerang maker I am Saluth to you , Mom . Congratulation being a Great Artist .
Hay that looks like a real good craft. I like more infomation about the paint and if you could not move your hands so fast it is hard to see what your pointing too. and the glar is making hare to see
I just made some florwes (with the T.H. die you showed here) out of some the containers you get from the store with cake & cookies in them But the other day I was looking at a pop bottle & was wondering hum? Could I at least use the sides well now I know...lol PLUS I can use the bottom. I am going to do this too. When I do ~ probably in for spring flowers..2013 I will do a vid & link you channel if that is okay. These are neat for all kinds of things You new subby! TFS ~~MarieMac~~
Like this, please tell me where you got the Large? pearls from, are they flat backed?. I noticed the frame you put around, please tell what this is officially called, so I can try to find some. Thank you
Creo que falta más información a medida que transcurre el vídeo ya que no dices los materiales que usas.y al final pasa tan rápido la flor, que no tenemos tiempo de visualizar bien el trabajo. que pena. .
Can I ask.... what is that silver thing you initially used to apply heat to your flower? I'm just now starting to tap into my craftier side, but where I live, we don't really have a dedicated craft store, so I'll have to go searching... can you please point me in the right direction?? lol...
It's a heat gun. Some of us use hair dryers to dry wet paint and gesso etc, but I don't know if they give off enough heat to make the plastic more workable as I haven't tried this technique (I just found it xD). Anyway, hope this clears things up for you. Enjoy crafting - I'm quite new to it myself and it's great fun!
Just found this on my youtube account. Isn't the heating of plastic a producer of toxic fumes? I don't think I would do this. Sorry. I'm only being cautious
Hi =) I have a video called - Ribbon Buckles Haul and Info All the info for both those items is in that video. Sorry I can not post a link here but I will send you one in your private inbox =)
The die cutter I used is called a Sizzix Big Shot and it's approx $100. If you live in the US you can probably find a good deal on it, you just have to look around =)
Hi, Little Miss Stamper, I saw this today: zszywka.pl/p/sliczne-4152763.html - and thought of you, saying on this video that you are always looking for things to do with PET bottles. The tops become resealable toppers for plastic bags, and the rest of the bottle you can make pretty boxes of :-D

Great project! In Michigan where I live, you would be sacrificing 10 cents for the bottle deposit. Ha! Ha! Thanks for sharing this creative project.
You can try, but it has to get fairly hot. Hot enough to really heat the plastic up and allow you to shape it. Usually hair dryers are not hot enough.
Beautiful video 👍
New friend 💕
Thank You 😊❤

THE COLOR LOOKS GREAT but does it wear of or come off? its a marker made for DVDs etc isnt it?
I used a copic maker in the video because it was what I had on hand, but a Sharpie marker would work just as well, or any alcohol based marker =)
Привет. Очень красиво. Какой краской покрасить чтобы не испортилось на солнце, от дождя,снега и ветра? Спасибо.

Very cool concept... I didn't see how you made the leaves. =(

Hi
I Found the video and the sites, many thanks really good of you to get back to me.
Creo que falta más información a medida que transcurre el vídeo ya que no dices los materiales que usas.y al final pasa tan rápido la flor, que no tenemos tiempo de visualizar bien el trabajo. que pena.

Thanks! At least I know what to look for! Does that also seal in the color for the flower? The color doesn't rub off?
Jaylene Nuesca
No the color won't rub off. It's alcohol ink. Just let it dry for a minute and you should be good to go. You can use Sharpie's too =)
Thank you ladies for your help! It's very much appreciated! ;-)
still very cool
I wonder if you could make butterfly?
What did you use to paint the leaves? And flowers? Someone asked but I didn't see the answer.
could u do it with water bottle?
Thank you 😊 for sharing 🥰.
Is that a wet sponge ? 🤟🏻😷
So much plastic in the World 💕thank you again 🥰
Your flower is 2 cute ... thank you
Can you put in oven?
what did you color them with?
Could you also use alcohol ink instead of copics? It seems that would be faster than hand-coloring. Or will I not get the same effect?
Sure that should work great =)
great tut
Just found this on my youtube account. Isn't the heating of plastic a producer of toxic fumes? I don't think I would do this. Sorry. I'm only being cautious
