    Hope you like cold coffee, Little Miss. LOL The coffee cup in your fast forward video remains there for some time so it had to get cold. I LOVE your flowers and thank you so much for making this how-to video!! My grandmother loved making handi-craft projects from old bleach bottles, aluminium cans, etc. "Recycled" wasn't even a word yet back then. haha I learned to always look at things we throw away and try to imagine what could be made from them by watching my grandmother. She would have so been doing this if she were still alive! I pass this video on to my sister because she makes jewelry and other crafts while my eye sight is failing too much to do handi-crafts (until I have 4 eye surgeries). I will definitely make these when I get my eyes fixed! Again, THANK YOU, Little Miss Stamper for sharing with the world!

    Great flowers, very pretty too. Just a tip, put a mark on your work surface to show you where you centre/ focus is. This means you can slide everything towards the mark to keep in focus.

    Yes absolutely and you are 100% correct. However it does not "melt" the plastic that way. It is not hot enough to produce smoke or fumes. It only heats it slightly...enough to be pliable. With that being said, if you are ever in doubt it is always better to be safe than sorry =)

I know that it is not the best drink for you body but oh well once in a while wont hurt.Or..will it? Thank you for sharing. Great project! In Michigan where I live, you would be sacrificing 10 cents for the bottle deposit. Ha! Ha! Thanks for sharing this creative project.

  • @LittleMissStamper

    You can try, but it has to get fairly hot. Hot enough to really heat the plastic up and allow you to shape it. Usually hair dryers are not hot enough.

    I am going to have to try this. I don't have a heat gun, but I think it would be possible to do the entire thing over a candle. I have made several of the plastic spoon roses with a candle as well, but I love the colors you could do, using the copics. You could even do gradients on the plastic before melting them, would look great as a flower! I'm excited to try this now.
    XD I don't have copics, but I DO have prisma color markers, I think would work, maybe even the sharpies as well?

Could I at least use the sides well now I know...lol PLUS I can use the bottom. I am going to do this too. When I do ~ probably in for spring flowers..2013 I will do a vid & link you channel if that is okay. These are neat for all kinds of things

    Can I ask.... what is that silver thing you initially used to apply heat to your flower? I'm just now starting to tap into my craftier side, but where I live, we don't really have a dedicated craft store, so I'll have to go searching... can you please point me in the right direction?? lol...

    • @GGGaia
      @GGGaia 10 лет назад +1

      It's a heat gun. Some of us use hair dryers to dry wet paint and gesso etc, but I don't know if they give off enough heat to make the plastic more workable as I haven't tried this technique (I just found it xD). Anyway, hope this clears things up for you. Enjoy crafting - I'm quite new to it myself and it's great fun!

    • @jaylenenuesca
      @jaylenenuesca 10 лет назад

      Thanks! At least I know what to look for! Does that also seal in the color for the flower? The color doesn't rub off?

    • @LittleMissStamper
      @LittleMissStamper  10 лет назад +1

      Jaylene Nuesca
      No the color won't rub off. It's alcohol ink. Just let it dry for a minute and you should be good to go. You can use Sharpie's too =)

The tops become resealable toppers for plastic bags, and the rest of the bottle you can make pretty boxes of :-D
