Bought the same car with 187k miles for $3100. Runs great and interior is pristine. If it only lasts 3 yrs I'll take it. A new car payment these days for a nicer then avg car can be upwards of $600 a month not to mention all that regular maintenance you spend on a new car in the first 3 yrs. So maybe $750 a month after all that. So after 4 months my 05 Mercedes is paid for. I can dig it.

Ive had it for a month now and so for so good I like the pick up for a lil 4 banger. & apparently I need to do the service A in 10200 miles. I have an p0456 though. Its been costing me about 1-4mpg on fuel economy. I hope all our cars go hard and last long though.
@@nate978x Yes I am, other than an ECU replacement in the autobox she is great there is always regular maintience. I treated some rust on the subframe also. I dont know abot the AWD ones I love the 2005 or newer c220cdi, great cars. I would not hesitate to own another. best of luck
I just picked up an 04 garage queen with 42k miles on it and did a full tune up/update and it is so much better than what this review suggests. You can tell his shocks are blown, the Supercharger sounds like it's due for a rebuild and it's probably still using it's original fluids so it's going to drive, steer, brake and shift like crap.

Did I see that right 200K miles? My 05 C230K just hit 140k and I just did a ton of maintenance items and felt like I was just dumping money into a car I have to get rid of soon. Your video makes me feel good about my car again! I have found this car is more exciting to drive on the freeway and expressways compared to the V6 however this car sucks in stop an go traffic as the V6 is a smoother perform in traffic. LOL my driver sun shade makes the same noise. I will be replacing the rock hard Sachs original shocks with Bilstein Touring shocks to improve the ride. The car looks great. I suggest going over the headlights with Meguiar's Ultimate compound followed by Meguiar's Plast-X clear Plastic Cleaner Polish followed by Blue Magic 730 Headlight Lens Sealer. This made my headlights nice and clear.

Pros - Incredibly solid car; feels like a Baby E/S Class. Amazingly, it drives almost as crisp and precisely as a 3 series BMW. MB sold a lot of these so new & salvage parts are easy to come by. It's rear wheel drive car which are nearly impossible to come by. Handles like a more expensive car. Cons- Some corners were cut to save costs, especially with the interior. Parts aren't cheap and certain W203 parts ARE getting harder for even dealers to locate. It's rear wheel drive which means it can be more of a handful in rain & snow. If you get one, make sure to put and keep good tires on it.
thats what i thought, i was gonna buy one with 110k miles and it sounded similar and i noticed at idle, the rpms kept jumping up and down and the engine was loud. seems like i dodged an expensive bullet :0

That car you are sitting in has been RAPED by previous owners (and a bear apparently). Mine still runs , feels , looks like NEW and has over 200,000 miles.

It's competition would be an Audi A4 with a 1.8l turbo. I hit 30mpgs with mine in freeway driving. I wouldn't try to race anyone with mine or anything...
Next time review abetter quality vehicle. Need remember the car is 9 years old and you've picked up a rather shitty model no offense. And it's a sports suspension so it's not supposed to absorb the road, it's suppose to let you feel the road.

Just a quick note, the C230 Kompressor is actually faster than the C240. The C240 may have a V6 but it has about 20 less horsepower and torque.
