- Thought I’d make a video on how i get one of our basic Richard Weston 14tonne row crop trailers on and off. I show Controls of the 240 and How to tip a full load of manure :)

Jonny 1388 how would I get a job on a farm without any qualifications as I would love to do it
No-one else does videos on farm machinery as good as this. Everyone else skips lots of steps and assumes the viewer knows everything already. I definitely don't know everything already, and very much appreciate it.

Thanks Marc, that’s exactly the sort of comment I like too see. I was worried at first if people would find it boring because there isn’t many videos on RUclips explaining things in detail like i try to do, so i was worried if it was because people didn’t want to see it.

Yeah it's really great stuff. having an informed view of how things are done is priceless. I'm just an old farming fan and I'll never get to use the information, But it's good to see that there are reasons things are done the way they are. I'll be mainlining your content for a bit just trying to catch up.

These videos are very very good I am a 14 year old boy from the east of Scotland and I really want to get a job in farming and there videos are so informative and helpful, I honestly can’t thank you enough for making your videos they really do brighten up my day.

Thanks for taking the time to put that vid together. Learned a lot. A lot more hydraulics and electronic controls than the old tractors I've driven. Great tip about not leaving the weight on the hydraulics and wearing out pumps and kit. Keep em coming. 👍

I didn’t want to come across as being a know it all by doing videos that explain certain things, but hopefully I make it clear I’m not trying to be big headed about anything. Yes, tractor have changed massively in the last 50 years, it’s amazing to see just how much!

Meanwhile in Nova Scotia we are still running draw bars and pins......and 40 year old death traps. The future is Scary and the old boys dont like er. At 30 I wish I could do this but locally we have a Temporary Foreign Workers program which sees equipment operator jobs pay minimum wage.

Great vid Jonny! Like you said at the start, theres a few people (like myself) that really want to get into farming. I watched this vid just before my work experience at a Agri-dealer. The first thing they asked me to do was put a trailer on. Anyway, great vids keep them up! Especially this type, they are really interesting.

This would have been good to know when i started working for a farm a few years back :') on my first day working they just handed me the biggest tractor on the farm and said "just go cultivating here's the button to lower it" and went on from there :D Great videos,greetings from cold and snowy finland!
Well done Jonny another useful video When i was a boy on the farm we used to put a couple of bricks under the drawbar wrestle the pin out and drive away and hope the trailer stayed on the bricks Well it was in the 1960s Cheers

Even simple jobs like getting a trailer on and off we’re a pain back then I imagine!
I’ve got a fordson major as a tractor to take to ploughing matches and working days. I couldn’t imagine spending as much time on that as i do my work tractor, especially in all weathers!!

Good video. I once left the electric wire in and unhitched the trailer, spent the next 20 minutes rewiring the trailer haha

Thanks nic! Yes, it’s interesting how we are both trying to do the same thing “tip a trailer” but how differently we go about doing it with wagons/tractors :)

I was 13/14 when I started, I just went to the farm next door to me just to watch the tractors and implements working. The farmer use to give little jobs to and he taught me how to drive a tractor and operate implements. I ended up going there every day and he would give me money each week. I'm now 42 and still farming, I love it and wouldn't do anything else.

That’s right John! The older pumas had a mirror, these new ones don’t appear to have any, it was a nice touch so I’m a little annoyed they got rid of them. At least all of our new Pumas don’t have any. Cheers mate really appreciate you supporting the channel :)

It's funny when your pulling full load empty and then pull off it almost catches me out with less weight to pull.

No we’ve not really considered them, they wouldn’t really suit our farm. We don’t do high road Millage, so they would be wasted on our farm. There a great machine for contractors! There’s are quite a few around me.

Why is your Fendt cab full of junk?
You missed the light check, nothing worse than comming up behind a tractor/trailer or caravan, even a car teailer and not having any idea when he is gona turn or brake cos his damn lights are no working. Other than that a nice video.
