  • Happy Sunday lovely people! I hope you like this episode from Tuscany, Italy. This week I wanted to talk to you about thoughts on mindfulness, the beauty and therapy of gardening and growing organic vegetables slowly with patience and gratitude for the moment and detachment from the future outcome. I share some of my past plant projects in Rome and Florence and my new home in the countryside of Tuscany. The music featured is Intermezzo, from the opera Fedora, by Umberto Giordano. You can find many more videos on my channel about how I learned Italian and moved to Italy. Making these episodes alone is very time consuming and expensive and if you would like to support my work, you can find my Patreon page here:

“Will it last forever? I don’t know.” All that begins ends. The difference is only in the how, when, and why. And so live each moment as if it is your last.

A beautiful message. For me, mindfulness is all about presence and being present enough to notice the simple joys all around us. When we live in the moment fully, we can experience more little delights 💕😊 and thus more joy

Italian immigrants to the U.S., including my own grandparents, usually had a garden. It's an important part of the culture. When you depend on the supermarket for your fruits and vegetables, you have no idea where they came from. When you grow your own, you know that they are fresh and free of chemicals. Gardening is also a great way to get exercise and, as you so beautifully show, a source of life that will return what you put into it. There is nothing better than the smell of fresh tomatoes on the vine! Good luck with your new garden, Kylie. You put a lot of love into everything you do and so I'm sure your garden will reward you with a lot of love too!

I loved how you said to the plants "Good morning everybody". The water in the pool, the fields, plants, flowers, working in the garden, sunset on the tree... So many beautiful details.. And your message to cultivate kindness.. I have lost a close friend to the cancer, and it is really shaken me.. Especially at this time I really enjoyed watching this video, the peaceful music and your peaceful voice, the beauty of Tuscany. A theraphy for my soul. Thank you so much for your existence on youtube, and sharing with us your way of seeing simple things and your thinking of life in general. We can learn a lot from you. I have never known for example how plants are caring for each other.. Very interesting.. ❤️❤️❤️ ☀️☀️☀️

If bees are ever an issue with your zucchini, you can take the male flowers and self pollinate the female flowers, they have little ball below the flower that will become the zucchini. If you dont see the ball then it is a male flower. True for most vines, pumpkin, melons, etc. The males are always first to attract the bees, but sometimes, the bees never come and so its a good thing to know how to do

I also believe plants respond to our love and hope along with our nurture. Whenever I plant something new i welcome it, tell it I hope it will be happy and bless it. When I warer. I talk to the plants and encourage and admire them. I will add some classical music, now, in honor of you. Thank you for your happy kind words and gentle, beautiful videos. Excellent and extremely soothing video- thank you Kylie! It’s fascinating about plants responding to classical music. When I trained as a therapist we learnt that one of the best ways to re-balance a person’s energy when they are stressed or anxious is to place a mini speaker (or a radio) close to the belly button and allowing the sound vibrations of classical music to harmonise the energy for several minutes at least. It’s like pressing a re-set button. The magic of music! Have a wonderful New Year!xx

hi Kylie, ive been looking at plants too.
they must contain protein carb and fat to support their structure.
fruit has hydrating properties along with vitamins minerals
vegetables have vitamins and minerals and fibre
and herbs work well with fruit, as hydration removes toxins and waste buildup via the lymphatic system, herbs come along and rejuvenate (repair damage from degeneration) but fruit should be only eaten with herbs or alone..
when cooked they become a complex structure, harder for digestion. keep them raw and they stay at their simple structure and easier to digest.
im just learning about the cell.. all organs, skin, muscle are cells under a microscope. its becoming my passion..
its not actually the protein but the amino acids we require and this is broken down in the stomach with hydrochloric acid..
and this protein is in all plants.
    just thought id share.. ☺️💚✨

Your vegetable garden seems pretty big for two persons only. It could provide vegetables for a little restaurant if properly managed.
"L'orto vuole l'uomo morto". 😄 It took thousands of years for mankind to tame vegetables in the end.
It's strange that there is no specific word in English for "orto"; there's orchard but it's for fruits.

Gardening is my Love! My wife and I cann so much every year and give away an abundance of what God allows us to take from the earth.
I can give you tips, as I have been doing it for 40+ years and as your neighbor has said, it requires a dead man! Time, care and love are the key to most of gardening.
I would say that in this video you were planting tomatoes. There are many keys to a great harvest of fruit, but a few are watering the proper amount, spacing of tomatoes as to not allow touching, which can cause mildew in a humid climate. Try and keep the plant it's self dry and only water the roots. Pluck off the bottom stems and if you notice the very fine white hairs that go up the stem. Burying the whole plant deep all the way up to the top two stems allows for better rooting. Also, as you probably well know that they love calcium, phosphates for flowering, budding and magnesium for nutrient in take.
I also, pinch off everyday each new suckers that sprout, and the 1st set of blooms or until the plant has a well grounded root system. I could go on and on, but its years of watching and learning.
I know is hot there, and they like sunlight, but be aware heat is different than direct sunlight. Heat stresses all plant, so keep that in mind when finding a suitable area for planting. Great short video. Updates us on you're yearly work of gardening. P.S They are the only ones that laugh at my singing, but they laugh silently!😆

Hi kylie your videos are beautiful as always. You look beautiful, your new man is handsome and rugged. much love to you both i wish you both well looks like beautiful place to be you moved away from where you were this is a new place or same place? i think you should work for disney you got that whole beautiful fantasy vibe to your videos. Dont give up, dont forget us eother, relationships usually means people post less gfrom what ive seen from others. i love you share your art your videos are dreamy and beautiful, just get lost in them.
4,33 look at the two orbs surrounding you both how beautiful is that you got spiritual beings around you both, so you got the taste for the country after lockdown did you lol im so happy for you, its a beautiful thing having a connection with someone else.
This lockdown taught me food isnt ALWAYS there even still here in Scotland we are short of stuff three months later. Its time. ive planted over 200 willows to help the planet, 9 oak trees i grew from acorns.
Im learnng to fish, im 2 mins walk to our on private harbour and beach on ocean. Been reading up and going to start trying fishing in few days. Got my rod, reel and everything i need to start.
ive never gardened before, im excited first to see my 9 oak trees growing from seed, then my organic lettuce has started to grow. i dont have thje land to plant in ground but i can in pots, potatoes do great in pots, got garlic planteed organic of course, ive bought many organic seeds growing lettuce in 16 ounce drink cups, planted kale also in 16 ounce cups ive got huge windows so its perfect for growing things bought organic fertiliser alll natural. can get great lettuce in these cups. got organis all thyme, sage, prsley, coriander, ive planted ttrees willows to make baskets all around entire line of garden, also trees hazelnut, walnut, pecan, elderflower delicious for tea elderflowers its my fav tea with honey yummy ive bought it dried in past,
So you to, are taking tio growing things and THIS is one of our soul wake up calls to be more self sufficient. I used to think preppers were overboard but not after this pandemic. Lots of positives have came from this pandemic lots good lessons along with the sadness and bad things.
This is a collective soul shift this pandemic, many are meant to cross over en masse up to 2032 as we shifted into fifth dimension. There is lessons we are meant to learn being here and together we will be better after this. You soind sick hope its not covid.
Plants hsve a consciousness yes they do prince charles talks to my plants. check out amanda ellis youtube and channeling erik. plants feel pain and they do communicate via roots feeding sharing with one another and also warn one another. theres a certain tree that secretes an oil once a tree signals that a pest is eating all uts leaves tgey send out root signals and all the trees for miles secrete an oil to put these pests off destroying them. plants very much feel pain, fear. in tests plants actually reacted they recorded it via vibrations when a plant was burned, the other plants would actually react and signal distrees vibrations our if heat came near them,

Wonderful attitude! We should all be as generous as the earth that gives us so much, unfortunately we don't take enough care of it. You are so concerned about people, beauty, culture... I Guess that's why you seem to be so happy. A lesson of life and happiness.

Kylie, I have just watched your excellent video. I have just acquired an allotment in Glasgow Merchant City which was a fantastic find as it so near my flat and I have gone from a small starter plot to a larger one and my plants went from being limp when I transferred them to being settled and thriving. Do they have allotments in Italy?

Hi Kylie, since you like gardening in general I thought you might be interested in seeing the works of Piet Oudolf who creates amazing natural gardens. He creates these parks and gardens that are simply authentic natural works of art.

I haven't seen this before and it's absolutely enchanting. I love the idea of playing opera to the plants .... maybe it will cause them to flourish and taste sweeter. Chissa? :)

Dear Kylie, I wanted to respond on this video the first time I saw it but then forgot. Your words resound to what I hold true as well about helping others and the way you talk about your plants reminds me of how my mother talks to and cares for plants! Also wanted to say I'm very happy for you with your new relationship, wish you all the best!💕

Hello! With everything that is going on at the moment, I am still trying to grow my little herb and vegetable garden. I am not having much success, but I am hopeful that my little garden will eventually grown and thrive, just like all of humans are suppose to do. Thank you for your videos. BTW, I made your lemon ricotta cake and it was divine!!!

I love to garden. I’m the daughter of a mother who grew up on a farm in Iowa here in the states. It’s in my blood. I now live in Southern California so we can grow things year round. I loved this video. One of my favorite sounds is the sound of moving water. Loved this video 💗

Kylie, i have been watching youtube vloggers for years and this is the first time i am leaving a comment or a like to show appreciation of your hard work and your vision of life that resonates with mine. Its a difficult time for my family with my dad having a terminal cancer and your videos are saving me to get distracted for a short while. Thank you for what you do.

Ho preparato un bel piatto di gnocchi cosi ci posso mangiare e guardare il bel video che hai preparato per noi! It’s been a while since I wrote proper Italian so please don’t shoot me if my grammar or spelling isn’t to par! Hahaha.
As always Kylie, stunning work! If only I can transport myself to Tuscany. I’ve always wanted my very own vegetable garden. Perhaps one day! 🍅🥬🥒
