Stages of Religious evolution in Brief.
    1. Proto-Religions/Early Forms:
Animism: This represents a very early stage
Shamanism: Building upon animistic beliefs, shamanism introduces the figure of the shaman, a mediator between the human and spirit worlds. Shamans use altered states of consciousness to communicate with spirits, often for healing, divination, or guidance.
    2. Formative/Early Organized Religions:
    • Vedic Religion: This represents a more structured stage, with a pantheon of deities, elaborate rituals (like fire sacrifices), and sacred texts (the Vedas). It marks a transition towards more formalized worship and cosmology.
Contemporary Vedic Religions of Old World i.e. Greece, Mesopotamia and Egypt.
While the term "Vedic" specifically refers to the ancient religious traditions of India, there are interesting parallels and contrasts when examining the religious structures of ancient Greece, Mesopotamia, and Egypt alongside it. Here's a breakdown
    Key Comparisons:
    • Emphasis on Ritual:
    • Role of Priests:
    • Pantheons: All had complex pantheons of deities with specific roles, but the nature and interactions of these gods differed. Greek gods were more anthropomorphic, while Egyptian gods often had animalistic features.
    • Temples: While Vedic traditions initially lacked central temples because Vedic rituals were centered around vedic fire altar and yantras, they became prominent in Greek, Mesopotamian, and Egyptian societies, serving as important religious and economic centers.
    • It's important to note that these are broad generalizations, and each tradition had its own unique complexities.
Formative Civilizations of New World Mesoamerica and Andes Mountains.
    • Also we find similarities with Mesoamerican civilizations: The Olmec, Toltec, Teotihuacano, Zapotec, Mixtec, Aztec, and Maya civilizations. The Olmec civilization flourished along the Gulf Coast of Mexico from about 1200 to about 400 BCE.
    • Andean civilizations: The Inca, Moche, Chavín, Muisca, and Cañari civilizations. The Inca civilization dominated the Andes region from 1438 to 1533.
Post Vedic or Axial Age: The Axial Age (roughly 10th to 3rd centuries BCE) saw the emergence of transformative philosophical and religious ideas. Thinkers like Mahavira, Zoroaster, Buddha, and Confucius challenged existing beliefs and emphasized ethical conduct, monotheism, and the search for spiritual truth.
    3. Primary Axial Age:
Universal Liberal Religious Movements (e.g., Buddhism, Jainism, Vedanta): These traditions, while rooted in specific cultural contexts (like India), emphasize universal principles, ethical conduct, and personal spiritual experience. They often downplay the importance of specific deities or rigid dogma.
    4. Secondary Axial Age: This is a diversionary relegious stage that politices relegion!!
Monopolistic Monotheistic Doctrinal Religions (e.g., Islam, Christianity): These religions emphasize on a single, all-powerful God and possess codified doctrines, scriptures, and established institutions. They often claim exclusive truth and emphasize adherence to specific beliefs and practices. This stage is characterized by centralized authority and a focus on theological dogma. The creator has a distinct existence and is separate from its creation without overlapping of spaces

it is wonderful to have Nalanda restored however, the gates are closed for a visitor. An institution of learning needs to have an open door. Our bureaucratic mentality takes over.
