Praise God, Brother. I'm 79 ---- was saved a week before my 16th birthday in 1961. Raised in a non-Christian home in a small town in Maine with no Bible-preaching church. A Gideon New Testament given me at my public school a few years before was the means of my coming to Christ. It was almost a year after I was saved before I met another Christian. God was so good to lead me, teach me and keep me. Am now pastor of a small church and write a weekly column in a local newspaper. They call it a "Religion Column", but I call it a "Salvation Column." God is good!!!

I'm a reborn Christian who was once into heavy metal and rock. During my journey to a whole new way of life and outlook I listened to secular style "worship" music. As I started to grow in my relationship with our Lord and Saviour I came to the realization that that style of music is not praise and worship. These hymns are proper praise and worship. I love these timeless classics they really do touch the heart, absolutely beautiful 🙏✝️
I was raised in a devout Methodist home and at the Wesley church my family attended the hymns are sung accompanied by an organ such as the one accompanying these. I'm 80 and remember as well as still sing all these wonderful songs at home and while driving. I visited a wonderful Baptist Church in McPherson Kansas last Sunday, they still sing out of the hymnal! Hallelujah ♥️
@@2675142 No I am not. I’m in the northeast. Churches that have hymnal books and sing hymns by people like Fanny Crosby are rare. The only musical accompaniment we have is a pianist. No amplifiers, no drums, no light show, no turning down the lights. Just voices of praise and worship. The associate pastor selects a portion of scripture and he and the congregation alternate verses. We have a small choir of 14. The congregation is older with a Sunday school class in the basement for the younger parents who have children. The members and board of elders have strived to keep the church as pure as possible which can be difficult in the age we live in. The assembly uses The King James Bible. Looking for a good church? When you arrive, watch and see how many people entering are holding their Bibles. God bless you.

Beautiful hymns: They bring back a strong nostalgic feeling of my adolescent and young life. Thank God that we are finding our way back to these Spirit-inspired hymns. Praise God for the technology to have these songs preserved for us and for the generations to come. Amen 🙏
I see my grandsons often. They are 7 and 10 years old. I said, "Boys, let's learn the song the Old Rugged Cross." They were happy to do so. Then they sat down and played it w/ one finger on the piano. They went around humming it, too. Please, friends, pray I can teach them more of these wonderful, spirit filled hymns.
I will never forget these beautiful hymns that we still sing. I like this much better than praise music that sings the same words over and over and over. I heard these as a child and still think that they are great praise to God and my soul. 80 plus!!
These are the hymns we sang 50 years ago in the Methodist Church. They’re the same ones independent fundamental Baptist churches,who haven’t compromised by allowing worldly CCM to fill the church, still sing today! Just as I am is the congregational hymn that was being sung when I got saved 47 years ago!!
These grand old hymns are still sung in The Bible Methodist Churches, also in the Allegheny Conference Wesleyan Methodist Churches. These are two denominations that broke off from the mainline Methodist church many years ago when the old line church began to go into worldliness and unbelief.

Thank you for these spiritually uplifting hymns. They all take me back along memory lane - singing these hymns in high school over 50 years ago. We still sing some of them today. Grateful to have them all on one link. A labor of faith that was truly Holy Spirit-inspired. Thank you very much.
I strongly suggest to all listeners to sing these forgotten songs to be inspired and encouraged. May all hearts and souls in pain, hurting and in sorrow find peace. So many of us are searching for answers of the "whys" and the "when will it come"? The hymns keep me comforted and faith in the Lord Jesus helps me grow every day.

Am sixty four years young and I remember singing these lovely songs from my very very young childhood day's from my secred song's and solo hymnal, Jesus Christ is always with us, it's us that wonder away from the Savior and Jesus loves us so much that He rescues us and bring us back to His wonderful fold. These songs are apart of the ministry that the God has place on My life over the years during my upbringing. We want to thank you and pray that God will continue his work through his plan Amen.
I still play and lead the congregation singing most of these frequently. Also: In the Garden, It is Well, Haven of Rest, Heavenly Sunlight, Great is Thy Faithfulness, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, Victory in Jesus, To God Be the Glory, and many more. Smaller churches with older congregations are begging for pianists/organists to play what I call “old standbys”. Instead, most churches are now run like businesses and demand current music in order to draw in the youth and therefore tithing families. I’ve been playing and singing in church since I was in 3rd grade. I just turned 59 and I’m still playing and singing. I will continue to do so as long as my body allows. These hymns aren’t forgotten. They are being ignored by younger generations that expect praise and worship songs that repeat the same few phrases for 6 minutes at the time or they expect something that sounds like a secular rock concert where the lyrics are unrecognizable without them projected on a big screen.
Most of the current "Praise and Worship" songs do not agree with the Bible. I listen to the First Baptist Church in my location and the first song they sang did not even mention Jesus or God, It could have been used in any belief as Muslin, Budda, etc.
Most of the modern churches. I went with a friend to her church and needed earplugs to sit through the modern pop hymns with the loud acoustics. My sister's church sings modern church music, too. Thank goodness my church is still oldfashioned enough to sing these!
Not forgotten nor neglected. Only the younger generations enjoy new compositions. It's time that we adults introduce the age-long songs that our fathers love to sing. I've done it in my church.
It's 2024 election year and my Republic is in crisis. I seek the comfort these hymns bring. I'm a sinner yet saved by the Lamb of God. So, when I tremble and fear for my Nation i RETURN to the safety of the words of God and love these Hymns provide. Rom:10:9-13
This is perfect. These old hymns have stood the test of time. Much more meaningful than the contemporary "Christian" songs in most modern churches, which actually often contain unBiblical concepts. The organ is the best instrument for leading congregational singing. This music is the perfect mix of singing and organ music.
I dislike how the new worship songs are causing hymns to be removed from worship service! These hymns helped bring many souls to Salvation. They are never out of date! God Bless you

Praise God, Brother. I'm 79 ---- was saved a week before my 16th birthday in 1961. Raised in a non-Christian home in a small town in Maine with no Bible-preaching church.
A Gideon New Testament given me at my public school a few years before was the means of my coming to Christ. It was almost a year after I was saved before I met another
Christian. God was so good to lead me, teach me and keep me. Am now pastor of a small church and write a weekly column in a local newspaper. They call it a "Religion Column",
but I call it a "Salvation Column." God is good!!!

I'm a reborn Christian who was once into heavy metal and rock. During my journey to a whole new way of life and outlook I listened to secular style "worship" music. As I started to grow in my relationship with our Lord and Saviour I came to the realization that that style of music is not praise and worship.
These hymns are proper praise and worship. I love these timeless classics they really do touch the heart, absolutely beautiful 🙏✝️

I was raised in a devout Methodist home and at the Wesley church my family attended the hymns are sung accompanied by an organ such as the one accompanying these. @@2675142 No I am not. I’m in the northeast. Churches that have hymnal books and sing hymns by people like Fanny Crosby are rare. The only musical accompaniment we have is a pianist. No amplifiers, no drums, no light show, no turning down the lights. Just voices of praise and worship. The associate pastor selects a portion of scripture and he and the congregation alternate verses. We have a small choir of 14. The congregation is older with a Sunday school class in the basement for the younger parents who have children. The members and board of elders have strived to keep the church as pure as possible which can be difficult in the age we live in. The assembly uses The King James Bible. Looking for a good church? When you arrive, watch and see how many people entering are holding their Bibles. God bless you.

Beautiful hymns: They bring back a strong nostalgic feeling of my adolescent and young life. Thank God that we are finding our way back to these Spirit-inspired hymns. Praise God for the technology to have these songs preserved for us and for the generations to come. Amen 🙏

These are the hymns we sang 50 years ago in the Methodist Church.
They’re the same ones independent fundamental Baptist churches,who haven’t compromised by allowing worldly CCM to fill the church, still sing today!
Just as I am is the congregational hymn that was being sung when I got saved 47 years ago!!

These grand old hymns are still sung in The Bible Methodist Churches, also in the Allegheny Conference Wesleyan Methodist Churches. These are two denominations
that broke off from the mainline Methodist church many years ago when the old line church began to go into worldliness and unbelief.

These songs are apart of the ministry that the God has place on My life over the years during my upbringing. We want to thank you and pray that God will continue his work through his plan Amen.
I still play and lead the congregation singing most of these frequently. Also: In the Garden, It is Well, Haven of Rest, Heavenly Sunlight, Great is Thy Faithfulness, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, Victory in Jesus, To God Be the Glory, and many more. Smaller churches with older congregations are begging for pianists/organists to play what I call “old standbys”. Instead, most churches are now run like businesses and demand current music in order to draw in the youth and therefore tithing families. I’ve been playing and singing in church since I was in 3rd grade. I just turned 59 and I’m still playing and singing. I will continue to do so as long as my body allows. These hymns aren’t forgotten. They are being ignored by younger generations that expect praise and worship songs that repeat the same few phrases for 6 minutes at the time or they expect something that sounds like a secular rock concert where the lyrics are unrecognizable without them projected on a big screen.
Most of the current "Praise and Worship" songs do not agree with the Bible. I listen to the First Baptist Church in my location and the first song they sang did not even mention Jesus or God, It could have been used in any belief as Muslin, Budda, etc.

Most of the modern churches. I went with a friend to her church and needed earplugs to sit through the modern pop hymns with the loud acoustics. My sister's church sings modern church music, too. Thank goodness my church is still oldfashioned enough to sing these!

This is perfect. These old hymns have stood the test of time. Much more meaningful than the contemporary "Christian" songs in most modern churches, which actually often contain unBiblical concepts. The organ is the best instrument for leading congregational singing. This music is the perfect mix of singing and organ music.
I dislike how the new worship songs are causing hymns to be removed from worship service! These hymns helped bring many souls to Salvation. They are never out of date! God Bless you

I count myself fortunate for knowing and really can sip through most of these ages hymns song.They are truly inspired hymns & songs.We use to sing these in our secondary school days & my father love to sing songs so I heard more of old songs from him and cherish them till today.He has been with the Lord.Thanks dad for this treasure.
