I think they got recognition, their company just failed at trying to capitalize it with a lack of promotions after their last comeback (which it was at the same time this show started).
For those comparing this to PD101, I think we have to look at the differences between them. Pick Me/Nayana were created with the intention that it needed to be catchy through their repetition of the title and the easy to follow 'point' dance moves, hence why they became so popular and ingrained within the entertainment culture. My Turn however, was written with the intention to relate to the context of the show through the more meaningful lyrics and by showcasing their dance skills, which is to essentially "reboot" the idols' careers. So lyric wise, My Turn could be seen as "better", however, popularity wise (which is important for these survival shows) I think Pick Me/Nayana superseded. (This is just my opinion though) 😊
My Turn is still a better song. Pick Me is catchy in an annoying way and Nayana is good at first, but gets annoying fast. My Turn is good if you're looking for a song that you won't hate after hearing 5 times.

I know the producer of Mix Nine is Produce 101 season 1 creator but it's like they didn't even try hard enough to make the show different. But with the unit, though similarities are still there, they manage to give us a lot of new fresh things to see. Starting with, the uniform! I just realized how good they all look in those "airline" inspired uniform. So glad they didn't use school uniform~! they look more badass and their uniform also made them look so experienced and respectful.

If you like what you see now. Wait until you see the hidden gems. Both center groups are oozing with talent already. But the question is... Do they have the personalities to back it up. Strength of character plays a big role if they want to get noticed. They are all experienced idols. Can't wait to see the clash of personalities.
This is going to be one competitive show. Everyone competing has already been trained professionally and theyve atleast experienced idol life, a bit heartbreaking to think that theyve already gone through an elimination from their agencies just to debut and now theyre going to go through something similar again. I foresee drama (with idol image protection, that is)
