I think the positive outlook is great, but I don't think any politician should be given the benefit of the doubt - especially one who comports himself in as boorish and unkind a manner as this one. He needs to be watched like a hawk and held to account if he strays from bounds of the office.
Three years on, while he isn't perfect, his stand on #HongKong and human rights in China has been better than anyone possibly ever. Back in 2009, Human Rights Watch chastised HRC for saying that human rights shouldn't be allowed to interfere with her economic agenda. On this one issue, I think the one who won was the one the world needed.
Warren Buffet is an 86-year old billionaire, he can afford to be "optimistic." People living on the fringes don't have that cushion or insulation when shit hits the fan.
