Nice. I wonder if his ambivalence towards the parodic interpretation at the end could find resolution through Delanys evolution of myth in Einstein Intersection and Stein's american writing in "What is english literature." I feel the schisms at the heart of the American mythos become wonderfully indulgently psychotic in these postwar texts
