- I install the NEW Autobeam Performance LED Logo Puddle Light upgrade on my Ford Focus RS!
The Autobeam Performance logo LED puddle kit consists of two of the LED puddle logo units as well as an adjustment key. These replacement units don't simply replace the old bulbs but fully replace the whole unit and have undergone a full redesign by Autobeam to make all aspects even better than ever!
Offering a new level of customisation options for the puddle light in your MK3 or MK2 Ford Focus, you choose what logo you would like to have projected onto the ground, of which there are four to choose from.
As you will see near the end of the video, what is projected is not just the logo but also a new white design surrounding it. This brings both an aesthetic improvement but also a practical one as these mirror panel units are also known as puddle lights for helping you find your footing in dark conditions which this new design does big time!
The projections are very crisp and clear, adding a new level of prestige, really elevating the look of the Ford Focus no matter what model you have!
These LED units are easier to install than ever, with a redesign of the clips that Ford did a poor job of from factory - Autobeam have stepped in and now they fit perfect and very securely with a reassuring click!
The new Autobeam redesign work extends to the packaging of the electronics. Now encased and sealed into a super sturdy package that then utilises the factory rubber connector - build quality is huge and the weather proofing is solid!
Another aspect of the new design that is sweet is the matte black plastic housing. Where in other versions, the whole bottom is clear, in these the only part that is clear is the lens projecting the light. This serves to stop any light bleeding out where it is not wanted and also makes the units blend in with the underside of the mirrors which are also the same matte black plastic so these units have an OEM+ look which is very desirable!
In this video, I don't go over the installation steps as these have been covered in previous videos. Rather, I give an overview of the new design features and then showcase all of the available versions - ST Line, ST, Ford and RS- so you can see the differences and inform your own choice for customisation!
The installation is very quick and easy. Simply pop the mirror glass out carefully then unscrew, disconnect and unclip the old puddle light before installing the new Autobeam units using the exact opposite steps - if you want to see this process, check out the previous video:

One additional part of the installation that is unique to these new Autobeam Performance LED logo puddle units is how they are adjusted. Previously this was done from inside the mirror unit which meant popping out the glass but now with the redesign, there is external adjustment with the provided key - so much more convenient!
As the units require no additional resistors or parts, changing from the old bulbs/housings to the Autobeam LED logo version, gives an extra modern, stylish and totally custom look as well as functional benefit to the MK3 and MK2 Ford Focus (RS, ST, etc) in a very short amount of time!
The old puddle bulbs work of course but when you upgrade to these new Autobeam units you will see just how much better these are!

They look and fit so much better than the units I have, the ones I have, they don’t quite sit right, not flush, and the light seems dull, these look so much better built and the projection is spot on👌 I’m a big Autobeam fan, almost every bulb in my car is Autobeam, I’ve ordered a set of these to finish it off! Do you know if the puddle lamps have a fuse? The stock ones worked, switched to the auto beam and they stopped working, put back the stock and now the stock bulbs don’t work 😢😅
