An idea for a new run set could be that you do super expert runs. If you complete one with, for example, 50 lives left, you start the next SE run with 50 lives, and so on. See how many runs you can do with the first 100 lives :)
Nothing brings more satisfaction then a Ryu smm video, not only is he great at the levels, in turn beating them bringing ultimate satisfaction. He's not constantly screaming at the game and raging, he's always chill and actually finds enjoyment in every level he plays, even the garbage ones.

Levels like the first one (with hidden routes that the developer took in order not to need to clear their own stage) reminds me of those videos where people throw a sheet into the air and try to make it look like they disappeared, but fails.
I think that was a dev exit on the first map. That conveyor I am pretty sure is possible to get past without a star, the timing is just extremely tight.
There is no way that first stage isn't a deliberate dev door. You don't put a door that leads directly to the exit unless you want to be able to use it. (If you want to use a door as bait or decoration, then don't have it lead to the exit.) It wasn't blocked off, and the stage was throwing stars at you.
The dev probably thought people wouldn't figure it out, which would be doubly stupid since they made it blatantly obvious that there had to be hidden stars somewhere. At least don't put it in plain sight. Of course someone with a star would give it a shot.
I know this is a way late comment, and this is something that you probably already figured out way after the video, but how the clown car hit box works when Mario is in it, is that the very bottom of the clown car counts as a hit box to smack enemies with when coming down on them. There's an annoying as hell space between that very bottom of the clown car and Mario, where an enemy can sneak in and actually hit Mario, if they enter from the side of the clown car, 'cause Mario's feet don't freaking count when he's in the clown car. How do I know this? I passed a level where that was the entire gimmick: Lots of fireballs, lots of wall breaking with the fireballs, and way too many homing bullet bills in a NSB level straight out of hell. Taught me a lot about navigation and hitboxes in one of those things at least. Anyhow, enough technical rambling, it's something that Nintendo overlooked, I feel, and instead of updating to help fix it, they just sort of...left it. Like all the spike hitboxes and other weird nonsense in this game.

I enjoy watching Ryu play Super Mario Maker levels because I know he's going to beat them. If I was a coach and had to draft players on my Super Mario Making team, Ryu would be my 1st pick overall unless he was already drafted ahead of time.

I may not have this game nor Wii U either but... during your best-record run on "Harder Than Satan's Diugh," i can't help but to notice that you may have overlooked a bit... You may need to time yourself with just the right angle to jump for the first star, so you could hit that block without hit the bottom-row one... If you have done it many times, then never mind. Just suggesting is all. =)

You should do a challenge where every death on super expert mode you die once after that no matter what, and that number of deaths after a death increases by one every death
I had world record on the dashie level 3 times and Mateo kept barely passing me by tiny fractions of a second. I didn't even try to pass Mateo after he passed my world record for the third time because I have a life. Mateo... this is Daddy dog!

They need an option to choose how many lives you start with, so you don't have to keep killing Mario's for the 5 life challenge..
The Last Knight you can just start with, say, 55 lives, and once you reach 50, you DIE! But Ryu does it 95 times so it's more intense and spooky
