Best man beater was a OUT ROUTE. But for whatever reason, next gen out routes are rounded off and don’t cut like they’re supposed to
Slant, zigs, out routes, and drags. But Madden disrespected route running and principal to make the game underdetermined. Chess is only played at 70% level
Out routes definitely have changed in next gen when it comes to beating man! Used to be much better!
All routes are softer. I love the play Texas out of I form pro and it’s a totally different thing between xbone and series x
They did that so the different badges would make a difference

Not sure of that specific play, but those wheel routes are available in certain formations. Look for wheels from the slot and make sure the angle in game is straight to the sideline like shown!

Probably switch would be your best bet concept wise to look under.
What if the safeties are base align in the cover 3 will this still work with the 2×2 receiver set with four verticals?
It actually works better against base aligned safeties as it's hard for the Inside Third to get to the opposite seam.
What playbook is this
We were using spread in this particular video, but the concepts can be built out of pretty much any playbook in the game.
I’m having problems stopping verticals after my opponent spams it and flips the play. My guys won’t follow.
Out of any specific formation? Typically Cover 4 is a good defense for stock verticals.
Trey Y Flex…I used to be able to stop the vertical play, now my guys won’t follow once he flips the play…my zones are on the opposite side of the field. I know there’s a simple fix…just can’t figure it out. Thanks for responding 🫡
Are you on man alignment? Or do you have cornerback matchups set at all? Sometimes those will cause issues of your defenders zones being out of wack.
Awww ok…usually set it to default and corner back matchup to overall. I used the 335 cover 4 drop and handled business on it yesterday. Thanks a million man!

In particular, I love the tips for what to do against off-man coverage, and against Cover 4! I struggle at times against straight drop back Cover 4, so this helps!
